His E-Bay Ad:

"Here is the new aluminum tripower intake that is a copy of the 1966 model. I have been working on this project for 3 years and now I finally have them. Made in the U.S.A. Quality is excellent. Intake weighs in at 14 lbs. I only made 130 of these and have sold about 50. Not sure if I will have more made so if you are interested don't wait. If you want a stock intake then buy this and paint it. It is that close to original. Will throw in the waterneck for a short time. I also reproduce end carb tops and will have baseplates by the end of March and it looks like whole carbs by the end of April. My website at tripowerparts.com should be up shortly and I should be able to fill all your needs as I have a vast supply of parts."

Apparently Chris is not one of his favorite people
if he has sold 50 of them already.

Is the aluminum waterneck part of the deal at PY
too?

Either way I hope they fit and are being shipped soon.

Tom V.

I see he actually has 2 listed - under "tripower" and "tri power". The "tri power" one is at $460.00. Can't blame the guy, with all the hype on this, I would try to quickly sell as many as I could at retail also.

Steve's got a lot of money tied up in this intake. I don't blame him for wanting to get some back real quick. I'm sure he will be honoring all the backorders we have very soon. We'll be calling all of you that have reserved one. Give it about a week or so.

On a related note, we are very close to releasing a 3 q-jet carb set for this intake. It will use oem linkage but a unique fuel line and fitting kit. Not for the purist, but a reasonable price solution and an overall stock appearance. See PY stuff for pics and details in March.

DONE! The intakes are done, shipped and fit tested!!!! We are calling and e-mailing starting today so if you requested one, let us know if you still want one. I think almost the entire production run of 130 is pretty much sold.

Called the girl at PY today, Chris was out of town.

She is SUPPOSED to call Steve and find out about my three intakes. They are SUPPOSED to be drop
shipped from Steve's business but she could not get ahold of Him SUPPOSEDLY.

Still waiting (in my number one position).

Got an e-mail from her too that said mine are going out next week. Need to call her with the credit card info though.

Maybe pretty quickly I will have an Aluminum 66
Tri-Power intake!

Saw Steve... he had a 100 intakes. I saw at least 15 of them sell. I took 2, but should have bought 10, but I didn't have the $$ on me.

I PAID for my intakes with a credit card today so
hopefully the intakes will ship soon.

With Steve selling the intakes to every person he
comes in contact with, what was the advantage of
going through PY if the price is the same?

Definately not the ability to get one first as everyone seems to be getting their intakes first.

Explain that one to me again.

Tom V.
