The interior is finally finished.The guy that did the front seat about a year ago apearantly went out of business. I didn't have enough $$$ at the time to do the whole interior so I figured I'd have him do it at a later date. So about a month ago I go by his shop and there's no one there. No forwarding address, no phone numbers, and I'm stressing thinking, how am I going to get someone to match the material and the patern. So I started asking who was good in Tulsa and a bunch of guys said that Scotts auto upholstery did nice work. So I took some pictures of the front seat for reference and drove the car down so they could look at it. They had a swatch of the same vinyl and they took a bunch of measurments. They matched the back seat perfectly and made the door panels with the same design as the bench seats. Very pleased with how it all turned out. I also opted not to use the plastic shifter cover and had a vinyl boot made for more of a 4 speed look. A couple of pictures of my hidden stereo too. Since the car looks pretty much like mid 60's all over I definitely didn't want a new digital stereo in the dash. I thought about mounting it in the glove box, but then had the idea, if it would fit, to mount it inside of an old 8 track player. Tight squeeze but it worked. I got the non working 8 track off of ebay for $23.00, gutted it and cut the face off and hinged it. Worked out pretty cool. Oh, Thanks to Andre Rayman for the factory radio too. I was needing all of the knobs and all as everything was missing. He hooked me up with everything, no charge. Not even shipping. How cool is that!!!! He is one cool Pontiac friend I met through this forum. Pretty awesome huh? This forum is the best.

Got my $50.00 ladder bars mounted today. Had to redrill a couple of holes and cut part of the cradle since the 9" rear has a bigger housing than the factory 8.2 but it all worked out well. Before I bought these I contacted Lakewood who told me they started mfg these bars in the late 60's so that fit the bill good enough for me.

Hi Guys, I just got back from taking the 64 out to Southern California to the 2012 Route 66 Rendezvous in San Bernardino. My brother Darren just finished his paint job a couple of days before the Route and I ended up helping him install his windows and some trim before we took his car up to the event.. It was really cool having both cars together for the weekend and Darren's car was a big attention getter. Thanks Hooter and Scott. Yeah, the help was mainly parts donations and ideas on how to keep the cars looking pretty much period. As far as all of the fabrication, engine building, driveline set up, body and paint, we did all of that ourselves. This is just a hobby deal but I love Pontiac's. Weekends and evenings man. HVAC service tech, pays the bills and funds the toys,,,,,, And in the shop at night having fun building Pontiac's. Please don't take any of this as arrogant, cuz I'm not at all, but I look at these two cars and can't friggin believe how they turned out. This is the first time I have ever done a project of this size. 2 for that matter. And the only thing I paid to have done was my seats and door panels cuz I don't sew,,,,,,,,, yet heh heh. Wish I could get paid to do this stuff cuz I love it.

Gene, my brothers is a .060 428 with a 455 crank, 6X,s and a juicy little hyd that sounds pretty mean. I think that's a 462 ci.
