The aluminum work is all anadized black and it has a clear film over it for protection which is why it looks dull and scratched. Once everything is done the film will be removed and it looks super awesome underneath. Instead of it being riveted inside he has stainless steel allen head screws every two inches....it looks killer.

It's nice to see someone not put the cart in front of the horse, and build a car that can utilize the power the engine is capable of making.

That really ensures the success of the whole project.

Its not easy building a car like this, especially being an ex nitrous guy. Us nitrous guys are used to slamming our junk together and worrying about the rest later haha. Its hard for me not to be out there making hits, but I know that it will all be worth it when its finally done. Im hoping all this work will compliment the power, and I can finally have a fast reliable repeatable car.

Carbon is cool, but well done tin with good beadrolling work is hard to beat.

I am also doing all the tin in my 70 satin black. I love the way it looks. The front part of the tunnel is just a template because I ran out of black. The steel floor/ firewall and chassis will be powder coated black, the tin will be satin black, but I am going to use carbon tubs with liners. The white on the side of the tunnel is protecting the carbon inserts I did with 440 screws.

FWIW, I was told years ago not to powdercoat suspension parts, because it might make cracks more difficult to see in the future. Not sure if it's a "wive's tale" or not.
