Yes it was. Personally I can't stand the red/black combo. Brew, we saw this one when we went there a few years ago.

Was that the time Dick and Bob joined us at Volo?
IIRC, at that viewing, is had a Chebby carb on it too!
I remember those poorly recovered seats as well (lots of wrinkels).
That must of been 5 or 6 years ago............ seems like last year....Time flies...

You mean the one on the drivers door?
I don't remember that issue, but I do remember after 3-5 minutes after looking over the car I was done and had no further interest. Too many issues, in my book, to look more. Done.

Its only original once and one should think long and hard before turning a bolt.
Good luck on the steering wheel and plan on restoring it or buying one thats been restored. Finding a nos one is not going to happen even for a blind squirrel.

Post some pictures for us to view and discuss!

Does the engine actually need internal work? Is it smoking, making angry noises, etc.? If not, leave it as is. That particluar car is a time machine.

If you want shiny and new, I'd be happy to trade you my 72 T/A! :-)

Admiralty Blue/white gut, 73 SD auto Formula on ebay, with a completely blacked out underside, including fuel lines.

Why do people do this and then call it a correct restoration? (Well, I know, it's a dealer selling it so they have no clue anyway).

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ponti...item2eaef0e931

Neat car though. Anyone know the history on this piece? I have seen it before for sale on ebay.

one of the first things that jumps out at me is the wrong end on the air cleaner/tube.

It's gotta be the same SD Formy I've had pics of for years . . .
Dunno anything of it's history, though.

Default show time

I would love to get out to the T/A nats in dayton but not sure I can swing it this year. I am attending the Mopar Nats the week before in Columbus and not sure I can make that 500 mile trek two weeks in a row. Is that show really worth attending? Are there any other shows closer to the east coast? Would love for you guys to see the car as it came out of storage......

I have reservations but still not 100% due to Norwalk being a high option number two. Will figure it out here soon and let you know. Either way will get it done next month.

Cheers,
Brew

Even with the automatic - I'd love to own that car!

Even with the underside done wrong - it wouldn't matter much - would be dirty soon enough!
