Has anybody thought about taking it for a test drive to see what happens?

I'm not really up on Buicks but I think the ones with the Pontiac engines and Pontiac script on the trunk lids are pretty rare and desirable..

I drove that car 50,000 miles between 1991 and 1993. (I replaced it when I was 18 - so that was quite a feat.) I would get on the highway and drive that thing 115 mph (top speed) for an hour on end with no problems, then pop the hood when I parked and gawk at the red hot exhaust manifold.
I think my dad was pretty smart buying a 16 year old that car. It was rear wheel drive and a 5-speed, so I could flog it pretty good. My favorite thing to do was turn a corner and go down or up a gear really hard to throw the rear out and take corners sideways. (the kids now call it drifting but they, in my opinion, cheat by using the parking brake.) The day I brought it home, it was raining and I spun it into a curb doing that exact thing. No lasting damage, but I can still see the chunk I took out of the curb. One problem I didn't mention was the black on the plastic bumpers - that paint would just fall off. I had to repaint those damn things every 6 months! I actually saw a red '87 200SX in San Francisco a few years ago that had perfect black bumper moldings - how did they do that? I replaced that car with a brand new '94 Honda Civic with 5 speed and a 1.5 liter 130 hp VTEC 4 cylinder. The Honda was a rocket by comparison...

Wouldn't it be easier to teach her to drive a stick shift?
If he only had it for three days, most dealerships would consider a trade for something else on their lot. |

Camoback heads? I'm not familiar with those. Must have been a "rare" Chevy option.

DISCLAIMER: VIEW WITH EXTREME CAUTION!
http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/cto/4408339628.html ![]() This is a 1983 Pontiac Firebird TransAm with a custom fiberglass body kit built on it. It has a 305 5.0 engine and 4 speed overdrive automatic tranny, four wheel disc brakes and posi rear. It runs good and has a manual fuel pump and needs a gas tank or fuel cell if prefered. Could use a tune up. The paint is good but the clear coat has flakes and scuffing and the body has some cracks as shown but it can easily be restored. The hard top is removeable. It has a set of new American Racing TrueSpoke wheels mounted with new Supreme Sigma P235 x R60 x 14" tires. Asking $2500.00 or Best Offer and will also talk trade or partial trade and cash. This is being sold with a Bill of Sale only. Feel free to call Bill at (845) ••• •••• or my cell (845) ••• •••• or email with any questions. WOULD BE WILLING TO TRADE OR PARTIAL TRADE FOR A GOOD RUNNING 4X4 AUTOMATIC PICK UP. DO NOT CONTACT ME WITH ANY NEGATIVE OR WISE ASS COMMENTS. IF YOUR BORED OR DON'T HAVE MUCH OF A LIFE THAT'S NOT MY PROBLEM.

![]() My favorite line is this: " It runs good and has a manual fuel pump and needs a gas tank or fuel cell if prefered. Could use a tune up." How does it "run good" if it needs a tune up? Also - how does he know it runs good if it doesn't even have a fuel tank? Love that "trick" coolant overflow reservoir.
