You probably saw it with the original 'blue/white interior'. Still don't know what to do about that. PHS and trim tag shows white int which came with black trim only in 72. But this car had blue trim (dash, carpet, console, etc) not black. I have all the original pieces that came out of it. Dash panel down into the cowl is painted blue. No doubt in my mind it was original. I have no way to prove it though. No documentation from PHS on this. I have a portion of the build sheet that actually has a handwritten note that says : "Int trim blue not black-white stays". Some of the boxes in the top half that cover int trim such as console, carpet, etc, have the code for the black piece crossed out and the code for the proper blue piece handwritten in. I know the skeptics will have a fit over that saying anyone could have done it. It's getting a frame off now. I'll probably go back with black interior trim to match PHS etc. I would hate to enter it in the POCI or TA nats and be placed in a modified class just because the interior trim color was supposedly not available.

Anyway, if you think of any other history on it let me know. Hope to have it at the POCI nats in OK next year. If your up that way stop and introduce yourself. Thanks
you put that car interior back blue and white mister!!!!

Name tags... That's a great idea. With both your PY handle and your name on it. I'll have some name tags on a card table at the show space.

That's one less name tag I will have to provide!

I have an SR I167 7F6 head that went through Nunzi's sometime before the mid eighties. I bought this head in 1986, and it had been run for at least a few years before that. Attached is a photo of Nunzi's stamping that appears on both ends. There are no other stampings, but I think this head was probably new when sold by Nunzi.
That is cool to see the NUNZI hammered into your heads.

I have been able to confirm that JOB 331 is indeed a Nunzi reference. The source is none other than Nunzi's son Tony. He's a member here on the boards. Tony is currently digging through old files to see if he can find the folder on JOB 331. VERY COOL!

This is a NOS dash pad. Steve has been working hard to get the '72 Blue dye just right. Now we just need to find someone brave enough to punch two holes in the pad for the deluxe equipped grab handle.

The carpet was a perfect match too from an original swatch.

Were you able to get the White Deluxe Seat Backs reproduced in White?

I'm pretty sure that's the Legendary white on the seat covers. We are having to dye some parts like the rear seat arm rests and lower door panel pockets but I don't think we dyed the Legendary products.

I am referring to the plastic seat back panels for the front seat backs.

The dash should have slots in the back you can use for reference.

Oh... LOL. sorry about that

I am not aware of anyone that makes the correct '72 seat backs in any color. But no Legendary does not have them.

I'm just glad I'm not doing it. That and hammering beauty rings onto a gorgeous set of freshly restored KR's is some of the hardest work around.

Sometimes its easier to just do it, rather then sitting around thinking about it. That's when bad visions of things getting destroyed creep in!

That interior is gonna look soooooo good!

I squeezed in a trip to Lincoln this weekend to see Steve and Adrian.

She is coming together nicely and Steve promises no more than two crew members will be working in the trailer on the trip from Lincoln to Chicago on her way to MCACN in November.

Stunning, amazing, and any other adjective to express greatness. Sorry I'm gonna miss MCACN this year but I hope to see it live in person at some point. ;-)
