Here's another one if somebody wants to ask for it - I'd love to know the invoice date - the EUN on the block is over 100k units past the one on the 6/24 cars motor.

Welcome to the Forum Mark
![]() Great info/update/stories on the two additional Ram2 cars you know of. If you could persuade the owners to share their BH Cards (ESPECIALLY that Bird) , that would be really great. By what Cortez told us, I couldn't really tell if you are building a II or IV. Sounds like it's going to be a Duece ? I'm in the 68 Duece Bird fan club. 68's are quicker - and they look so much better.

Let's see what Brians totals look like. There are some 2.11 options. But 2.10 doesn't equal 2.11. Might even be my calculator - you guys have at it. Possibly could be a tire credit involved. 2.10 doesn't do anything to change what a Fantastic Duece you have. Thanks again for sharing this with us John. **EDIT** Radio price corrected from 63.19 to 61.09 = $2.10 Thank You (again) Brian ! Last edited by Baron Von Zeppelin; 10-30-2007 at 06:49 PM. |

He did a great job presenting these items for sale and authenticating the block. I'd really like to see the full BHC too. April Gold 4spd GTO Hardtop. It has the same tire selection (RC) G77x14 Rlines as Johns Convertible. Interesting to see if it has a $2.10 difference as well. |

Baron,
I am not sure what your saying about 2.10 vs 2.11. Could you please explain this? I will talk to RAVTA today to see if he will send me a picture of the full billing history. Thanks! |

**EDIT** $2.10 discrepency found. BVZ was trying to rip-off John on the Radio price. Radio price and totals have been corrected.
68 RamII, I'll try to do this better. The list of known prices from your GTO equal to a higher amount (by $2.10) than the Label Price. In the price list we use, there are some options listed that retail for $2.11. But the $2.11 option prices do not equal the $2.10 we are looking for. It should work down to the exact cent. What I'm trying to say by that is, it doesn't appear any options were overlooked or not billed to the Car. It appears more like there may have been a credit (such as tire allowance) or a price reduction in an option price - that we don't know about yet. I went back over some of the other Cars. The Blk/Gold/Blk Convertible also has the same tire selection as your Convertible (RC - G77 Redlines). But all the prices work out even on the Blk Vert. I put my full-blown method to it and everything. There is still possibilty left in several ways. It (the Black Vert) was billed almost 3 weeks before your Car was. If we keep getting some more April May June (July) examples, and/or factory update bulletins - I'm sure we will find that $2.10. It's a sweet thing to see the numbers work out even, but if I owned that 68 Ram2 4spd GTO FlamBurg Vert - $2.10 would be a small small concern. Thanks again for sharing your BHC. We learn something from every Car so far. **EDIT** $2.10 was found. Don't buy a Radio from BVZ without checking the price ! Last edited by Baron Von Zeppelin; 10-30-2007 at 06:30 PM. |

That ebay block has a May 28,68 date not 5-22 like the copy says.
The heads have a 4-22-68 date. Looks like a RA II anyways.

Baron:
You are off a little on the radio price. I ran a sheet (attached) That block on Ebay shows that nothing is the norm. It goes against everything I have seen or heard. I’d also like to see the whole card. Forming a hypothesis (Guess) off the numbers, it looks like a 6D or 7A built car. From a EU standpoint, the latest block I’ve ever seen had an “809517” stamped in it. It was also on EBay a while back. However, that block had a ground part number and a D248 casting date. So it was 10K numbers after but cast over a month earlier. Maybe they had to rush a block in for this car? Another oddity is the lack of “96” on the heads. The few late cars I’ve seen had the 96 casting John (68ramII) Does your conv’t have a 96 cast on the heads? We need more cards! Off to the SEMA show I’ll check back next week! Brian |

I don't think we can assume that the block and heads came from the same car - even if that is what the seller says. I would agree that the later cars would likely come with the D238 or even the FXX8 dated heads that had the 96 on the center ports. Both this and the WY block you posted are interesting, do you have a picture of the casting number? PS, I may be selling one of my 68 XW motors if anybody needs one.

BlkBrd: Someone is going to have to provide a full sales manual in order for anybody to do the work on your TripBlack Ram Air Bird. It has a "Misc.Amount" listed under the Label Price. We don't have access to the Miscellaneous Eqpt/Options page on the FGF website. That Misc.Amt. could mean anything.
I lost my work on your Car - lil laptop froze up - didn't have it saved - had been fooling with it for 2-3 days. Not ready to start listing all that stuff on your Car again until we get more info/data. I'm losing credibility on spelling and math - but from memory it was in the $80'ish range short/under the Label Price. And that was without factoring the 7.00 Misc Amt. in any form. But did include the Destination charge. You guys can see how the option codes are pulled from the BHC - and don't be afraid to try one. This one is a doosey. I'm thinking maybe (a trunklid luggage rack, Camaro rear spoiler or trailer hitch). Also has an enormous Destination charge. Was it exported to China originally ? As nice as the Bird looks on paper - you should probably dump it fast and cheap. I may be willing to bail you out of the Car. Let me know. Some of you guys are just gnarly sumbichs in here. lol |

Guys,
Has anyone seen a RAI or RAII block with a cast or stamped P/N other than 9792506? The one in the eBay auction is P/N 9790071. I'm not doubting the sellers claims because I know him to be a serious/knowledgable enthusiast, and that P/N was certainly available in '68. I do know that Pontiac started stamping the blocks with the "2506" in '69, but did this start in '68 during the RA II production run? |
