Do I really have to invite you guys?? Craig stops by without an invite and I appreciate his interest and love to spend time talking TA's. I dont even know when you're in town half the time Brew. You're probably in town right now?? So here's your formal invite... You can stop by anytime but best to call first. Everyone has an open invite even you Bob. Hope to have it done before Nats.

When Im in town its due to business thus leaving barely any time to enjoy. You know Im interested in seeing you and your project and for the matter the hole family. Jeepers, I haven't even seen your new Dog yet and its how old ???????????let alone that new pussy. Purrrrrrrrr, Purrrrr..goes the pussy!

Craig, I want you to think about coming with us to Dayton this year. I already have rooms booked and the trip to and from is a blast let alone the show and Tipp City.

Plan it, and mark it on your family calender hanging on that refrigerator so momma has a heads up.

Time for a cold beverage,
Brew

OK Brewski, lets make a deal to prioritize a visit. I know your schedule has been tight too but we'll work something out soon. Just guys or the whole family deal? Either way good with me. Got to show you both Lincoln's(the dog and the car). Did SDD ask you about doin' the Savana log home rallye on the weekend of the 19th? That might just work for me. Would be a great time and cruise.

Doesn't Fathers Day mean that dad gets to do what HE wants to do? Dump em and go on the log home rallye. Sounds like fun!

Brew, I'm going.....I need to go before they stop having it or I die. What better guys to make the trip with than this group...I have some equity in Sean's white 73 and would like to see it win something.

Default HK Rally II Wheels?

I know Rally II wheels have been covered many many times in the past, but does anyone know what year and what Pontiac HK's were installed on? I looked at the usual sites and didn't find HK's listed. I know that they are post '72 model year with the big center section. I have four that came on a '70 GTO I bought a few years ago. Two have M50 and two have M51 stamped on them which I believe are the date codes. Can someone decifer them?

I want to restore them for my TA before the TA Nat's in August.

Thanks, Dennis

Dennis:

Your 73 should have HM coded wheels on it. The M51 you see is partial date code and plant code. The M5 is the plant code in Canada. The 1 is the year , 71 or maybe 81. The month and day are on either side of the valve stem.

Example - my 74 wheel is M54 6 5 meaning June 5th, 1974.

I'm not sure what HKs came on but I bet HFR will chime in. He knows everything and his wife is hot LOL!

Hope that helps.

Default HK Rally II's

Thanks Bob for the reply. I'll check the date codes on the wheels, but I recall the M50 wheels had a 6 and 10 on either side of the valve stem and a deeply stamped 3 midway down on the rim. The M51's have a 5 and 9 with nothing stamped on the rim. I'll have to take some pic's next time I'm at Dan's.

I don't recognize the HK's. If they are the backwards painting (silver background on the charcoal foreground) then they're the newer ones ('80/81 in this case).
