What is that, body side moldings on the doors and rear bumper guards?

This odometer photo scares me. Odometers dont roll from left to right, they roll from right to left. There's no reason for the numbers to be caught between 85,696 and 76,696, especially when the SD registry lists the mileage at 80,000 back in the early 1990s.

bumper guards were separate, i'm pretty sure, but not 100 percent it was the body side moldings. wheel opening, door edge and hood/ fender edge were also separate options.

as far as odometer statements go, i view pretty much all of these cars as 100,000+ miles unless they are survivors with original paint and interiors etc. that can be looked at for wear and be determined to be factory original. all other low mileage statements are BS in my opinion.

I'm wrong on the above, body side moldings were also separate, and not Y95. THe only thing i can figure without looking into more literature is that it is a lower cost package of the body sides, wheel openings and door edge guards or some such combo. either that, or undercoating ;~)

This one has popped up for sale a couple other times in the last few years. Agree it would be cooler with the V-Top and no spoiler.

It's too bad about this formula. To make it more original you would need to remove chrome trim and spoiler all of which will leave holes/marks in the paint. Then it would require an entire repaint.

Anyone else notice the window sticker indicates 4spd, but it's an auto?

Definitely the same car.

I saved the prior auction listing as an entire webpage file and it is the same, same test, same photos, different day. :-)

I keep an entire reference file of photos on my computer of just 70-73's whenever they pop up on ebay.

I love the red interior. (I'd love to have the car, too!)

Thats a good idea to maintain a record plus its neat for reference regarding market conditions. Are you still looking for a duty?
That silver Formula duty looked like a good project car for someone with your talents.

Yup, still looking...if you know anyone interested in a trade for my 72 4-speed T/A.

73 Formula or T/A, I'm not too picky. :-)

You could twist my arm, but I only got one 73 car, and not sure I can part with it, but ya never know???? !!!!! ??. I have most everything needed for a frame off concourse resto, but just don't have the time and energy to do it correctly, plus I like it as is, as a driver, the fast red POS that it is.

D, its not a POS and far from it if you look what else is out there. Maybe you could hire Steve to do a turn key?

Yeah, but when you order your phs sometimes it states 4sp and not automatic. I had to ask for a correction and a new one was sent out for my driver car. I sport both for it now so bottom line dont believe everything you read.

But that appears to be the original window sticker. He does show the dash with matching tranny vin so it does look to have actually left the factory with the auto trans.
