Default 180 speedo

http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/pts/4465977671.html

I have an original OEM dashboard from a 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula in good condition. Includes original bezel 180 MPH speedometer glove box and a few auto meter gauges. Has two very small tears in the back corner. These are very hard to find especially with the 180 MPH Speedo. Asking $800

There are a number of dingbats on this board that do the same thing.

I enjoy word lore. This for example:
Definition of dingbat (n)
Bing Dictionary
ding·bat[ díng bàt ]
- printer's symbol: a symbol or ornamental character used in a printed work, e.g. a star or pointing hand
- object used as missile: a brick, rock, or other object that is thrown as a missile
- silly person: somebody who is considered silly or lacking in intelligence

They look like magnum 500 wheels. Aftermarket and supplied to some manufacturers and available from factory as original. Never thought this was the case with pontiac though

I think my precious big blocks, which I store outside in a cage, are going to weigh alittle more than the propane tanks or whatever it was that were originally stored in that there cage.

No sense storing the cage inside; there's always a tool 2ft away capable of cutting that cage open in under a minute inside the garage.

I don't see any way that cage will support an engine block, but that guy is smart enough to know that if a part is Mopar, you can add a zero.

My old neighbor claimed that they wanted $2,000 for a re-pop '70 Roadrunner grille. A re-pop!

I'd like to see a pic of the fender tag that shows Platinum Silver. Even the edges of the hoods and under the trunk lid appear Gold.
Well, at least he has paperwork proving that it was shipped to a Las Vegas dealer... That's rare.
By the way... He lists it as a '78 model but says it was produced 'late' in 1978...so, it's obviously a '79 model...

Not just any paperwork, historical paperwork. Also, it says "We have...." when everything else is first person singular. Who's 'we', sucka?

The 'story' of the car's origin sounds like it was written by a 14 year old.
"but then the car was repainted......Then the car.......then....."
