Tom, no water neck with my intake also, i just sent steve an e-mail asking about the water neck, i'll let you all know what he says. I think the only water neck he makes right now is the 65 version not the 66, don't think the 66 neck is in production yet. Click onto his site and then click onto the new intake and he states he will throw in the water neck. http://www.tripowerparts.com

Quote by Steve on his site:
"1966 Pontiac aluminum tri power intake. After years of lugging around cast iron intakes I had enough. So I decided to do something about it. This was supposed to be a 6 month project but turned into a 3 year one. I have made 130 of these. Made from quality aluminum in the U.S., they weigh in at 14 lbs. Copied from an existing cast iron intake. Quality is superb. Price is $450 Limited time. Will throw in water neck with purchase." WILL THROW IN WATER NECK WITH PURCHASE. Limited time must have expired right before he had ours shipped. LOL! Tom V.

Tom, I meant no disrespect at all.
My point is that I am happy, When ANYBODY makes the inititive to make a Pontiac part for us. I hate looking through the Summitt catalogue and all I see is BBC / SBC, Ford etc.... It is really a difficult process to make these parts. I think everybody can agree with that. I would like to see alot more folks take the time and effort and money to develop new parts for us. Now as far as the packing. I have a legitimate b*tch. The cost of this part is not cheap, I would think that $0.10 worth of peanuts would have been in order. My box was pretty smashed from UPS. Wrap it in celephane or even a newspaper would have been nice. Not only are these parts expensive and easily damaged, But these are also rare parts. Again sorry, and thanks for the flow numbers. I will not complain anymore. Happy tri-powering....

The fact that no one appears to be getting the waternecks. Did people who picked up the intakes in person get a waterneck? I saw a couple of people who posted said they bought directly from him.
Maybe all of his E-BAY customers got waternecks. Chris, what is the story on the waternecks? Tom V.

Ok, i received an e-mail from Steve today about the water neck deal. Steve said that if we purchased the intakes on e-bay he would include the water neck because we would pay more for the intake on e-bay. So i guess we will have to buy the Aluminum water neck on our own.

On a related note, we are very close to releasing a 3 q-jet carb set for this intake. It will use oem linkage but a unique fuel line and fitting kit. Not for the purist, but a reasonable price solution and an overall stock appearance. See PY stuff for pics and details in March.
I like this idea. How are they coming? --------------------------- Fool around, Get hurt, don't come crying to me. [/QUOTE]<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR> <HR></BLOCKQUOTE><BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR> <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

has anyone installed this intake yet? Mine looks great sitting here on the floor, but I'm just wondering if there will be any fit up issues when it goes on the engine in a few weeks.

The next step:
We have obtained a good supply of Rochester carbs that have been modified to fit the 66 intake. Available factory linkage and air cleaners can be used. Fuel lines and fittings are different than original but will look fairly stock when completed.

It depends what you need. An intake and 3 carbs will be under $1000. If you needed everything, you could spend $1600.
