Any recommendations? POR 15, or weld some 18 guage cold rolled steel in place? Fiberglassing?
I'm just trying to revive this thread since the 62-66 big car thread has the February blues or is suffering from "that not so fresh feeling". Take care, Greg |

I would use that stuff that eastwood co. sells to rid of rust. It is a jelly that brushes on and removes the rust. From there you will see what you need to do. I had some nasty spots under on top of cowl when I removed the cover and I used the eastwood rust encapser. It went on easy and covered very well. I would think you would need more than a pint like I had for your trunk but it dried smooth and has a flat black color to it.

I tried Steve some time ago , with no success . I would like patch pieces for both rear1/4s where it meets the rear pillar ( we call it the sail panel ?) ,the back 1/2 of the left rear 1/4 , aroof skin would be good but not doable . A steering column with or without wheel ( column shift ) , radiator hold down panel , the centre piece of the grill in the middle of the 4 grill pieces ( body color coded ) .
There is more but they are the bits i need to really get underway . Thanks for answering , Merry Christmas and a happy new year . Regards Neil |

It's currently got a 600+ horse 73' 455SD under the hood but once the correctly restored 421SD is done it's going back in!

Neil, Spring officially starts March 21, but it's usually around May before the cars come out in the Boston area.
Keep me updated on what you need.

Here's some pics of my '65 2 + 2 that I took a few hours ago while on a short cruise near home. We had a partly sunny, breezy day in the mid forties here. I've been waiting for weeks for halfway decent weather. I finally was able to wash it and vacuum it out.
