Seems like I've seen that car somewhere before . . . E-bay, perhaps?

Anyway, congrats on your find. 455 Formulas are relatively rare. Nice that yours was in such a dry climate!

Cliff will do you a bang-up job on that Q-Jet - that's a great start.

Welcome to the PY forums, and by all means keep us informed on your resto progress!

Lloyd you may have seen it and me on some of the other Firebird sights, I've been gathering intel for a while. I found it in autotrader last october-november time frame, hasn't been on ebay that I know of, although I have seen a few close to it.

I found this site when I was talking to Cliff about the carb. Weird thing is I have ordered parts from PY, just didn't know they had a forum. Oh well, found it now and love it!

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Best Pontiac forums on the 'net - hands down! Plenty of very knowledgeable and helpful folks here.

Be sure to snap pics and post 'em in a separate thread when you get into the resto.

lniemeyer2, Your Formula and mine must have been made at the same plant LOL They left off the front valance Mine came with a new unpainted one. The car is still sitting (3 years) in the same spot in the driveway, just not on the trailer. I'm working on making some room in the basement for it. Good Luck with Yours !

Heres a few pics of mine that I purchased off E-bay about a year ago, was orig. a light blue but painted this late 90s GM dark green metallic, was converted to a 4 spd, This is an orig 455 car, has a Moser rear with Wilwood disc brakes and alot of other goodies, have had it up for sale off and on since i got it as im still trying to get a motor together, my intentions are to take the cowl scoop off, its actually a fiberglass T/A style shaker hood underneath and add the shaker set up like a S/D clone.

Hello to all friends. Good time. My name is Mohsen. I'm from Iran. I have a 1974 Pontiac Firebird My car is red on the amount it costs to do. But now the car safe but I want a more powerful engine for 'd consider it. What is your suggestion?
Unfortunately, we love American cars in a very, very many problems we face. Problems ranging from lack of parts, expensive parts and no extra access to world markets to boost their cars. You how to fix this problem a solution should be thought ?

This is my Pontiac Forum threads with images.

Thats a nice looking Firebird! Glad to have you.
Amazing how people with different cultures in different countries can have the same taste in cars.
There was a member on here from Turkey with a firebird but I have not seen him here in a while. I think his name was Firebird Istanbul or something similar to that. There are a few from Austrailia & the United Kingdom as well. I anmire anyone who can fix up an old American car in another country.

Here are some more owners of cars like yours in your country ,
I hope this helps you if you have not seen it already.
http://iransupercars.blogspot.com/20...in-iran-2.html
I was shocked to see there are several 1974 Firebirds & Trans Ams over in Iran.

As for used parts try searching ebay if you have access to it and the sellers will ship parts to your country.
You might have to make friends with someone in a country you can do business with and have them
pass along the parts to you.

Parts for 1974 - 1975 Firebirds are also hard to find and are expensive here in the USA as well.

Good Luck with the project!

Antartica? Maybee And only because the lack of roads,
...but it would not supprise me if some scientist had one shipped down there for him.

I noticed the 73-74 and 77-78 are the most common years for exported Firebirds
Does anyone know why so many of those were bought over seas?
Was there some ecconomic reason more of those years were shipped abroad?
Or was it just a matter of a good looking car being popular there also?

Some Americans get upset when the see a classic car exported,
but I actually like to see a bird with foreign tags. It makes the world
more interesting.

Hello my friend. The answers that have given me grateful. Fortunately, the lovers of American cars are very high. Many of my friends to think about living and making the cars are restored. But unfortunately the problems are very high. For reasons such as sanctions and high rates of customs tariffs in two equal parts, sometimes with the price or more to reach the Iranian client. Yet never the less we will be interested.
Timely and appropriate experience necessary information you will use.
I wanted you to know about my Pontiac. To tell the problems it must act to eliminate it. Should have to save some money to buy parts of the United States must act needs are.
Any proposal to deliver a peak in the fierEbird will be welcomed by me.
Finally, again, Thank you for good friends.

here are some pics of my 75 Firebird... the car spent all its life in California, so the body was rustfree when it arrived in Germany 4 years ago... But I took the car apart, and restored it from bumper to bumper....
Everything works...even the AC is ICECOLD

Greetings Juergen

Nice Bird, You don't see many silver ones.

My formula came that was from the factory and someday it will be that way again.

My Trans Am finally arrived after more than 2 years in storage.

It has a new home out of the elements where I'll get it more presentable and fix the remaining minor problems it has.

Good for You!
I've peeked at your home page once in awhile to see if that car is still being worked on.
I'm glad to see its got a new lease on life, You'll have one hell of a before & after photo album when that one is done. Good Luck!
