Ok guys, a little rant & some news. Ive been driving all day so I tried to make it as readable as I could but Im tired
Let me run through a quick run down/rant. Back in 04' I gave many members spanning 4 different Pontiac Forums my word that I would get them headers made by out sourcing. After countless lies, mistakes by the contracted header co & costing me 1000's over what it was supposed to cost. It took almost a year but every last one of those fellow forum members got there set. Well except me of course. Then in 05' I took it upon myself to pick up from that point. I then gave my word to another group of members for another run of headers. There were problems with tooling, materials early on in that run that took up any remaining funds I had. since after all, the first run had screwed me out of 1000's more than I needed to spend. At least this time I could verify the problems as being real. I still didn't give up & fixed every problem that arose myself. After all the funds ran out, the need for a certain machine that cost 15k & from lack of sales. I did what I hope anyone else would have done. That was to work & try to get the needed funds to come back & make things right. I was absent for years all the while with the goal to make things right. I came back in Feb 10'. Not because I had extra money or won the lottery. Actually I was no more better off than before. Just that over that entire time period I spent a little here & there on things I had made at local machine shops to perform the same actions as the needed machine would do. Although the tooling would take 50 times longer with many times more waste, it worked. The one thing that remained the same between all three times I was trying to do what I was determined to do & was obligated to do. Was the same old BS from guy that were not customers that were either nay-sayers &/or Doug's cheerleader jerks. That there sole intent was to post to just stir up negativity that would stop any funds from sales. If they intended to hurt me that's fine I'm thick skinned but there actions only hurt everyone that ordered a set. So these guys are nothing but POS that are no friends to anyone involved. The only ones that I care to even hear an opinion from is the guys that have a duck in the soup. So my customers, fine but the POS others that post stuff just to rile guys up OR just take the opportunity to insert another Doug's commercial... Like the idiots with there ponzi theory.Ya, I said idiots, after all you called me a crook first. Its a wonder why anyone would even try to make things right after all the jerks I have encountered over the years. With that being said its always been my intent & always will be to complete this. remember when I posted this on 9/7 of last year: Quote:
That was then & now we get to now. That POS TIN TIGR try to scam me out of my business because he saw an opportunity to take advantage of a guy that was in need for help. He then denies anything we had discussed about getting old orders out. Then bashes me in public to fool everyone into his version. I have done everything TIN TIGR was supposed to help me with only with someone that was genuinely trying to help. Unlike TIN TIGR & his molicious acts towards me. Now the News: I now have all the tooling, materials for more than the amount of headers I owe. So there is a different plan in effect. I will be driving for the next two days to get a machine in Martinez Ca that I have to disassemble a portion of the building to get it out & replace that portion. After that I will be building owed headers each week without a sponsor. Since I have all the materials (at the right price finally). Also I will be setting aside time each week to build a new set to sell. If that pisses anyone off to bad. That set each week will be for the operating expenses like rent, utility's. Since though I have everything needed to build I still have a need for the usual operating expenses. This all didn't happen because I got richer, in fact I'm poorer. The new sets are on a first come first get basis. There will only be a $25 deposit for your name on it. Its only refundable if its not ready on time. Its not refundable for backing out. That keeps jerks from trying to just back up the list to waste time. If there's no new set to do I'll use that time to mess with the S/S stuff. I have all the tooling for the S/S & enough materials to do many sets. So I'm moving forward with that as I planed on from the beginning. At this rate I will have everyone done while its still warm out. I could have posted this months ago but because of some of the BS I have gotten over time I needed to make sure that it was all in place first. So that there would be no way to stop it. Ponzi scheme? Really??? What complete a$$es... oops meant idiots

Ron good post I got tired of seeing the bashers also. Glad it's getting better.
How about a new thread on what sizes and options are available now-ie gauge thickness, tube size, A body/F body for both D port/round ports, steel or SS collector size.

Ron, Thanks for the update.
Based upon your email to me in December, it looks like I'm behind gearbanger and Ducks goat. It appears they are getting their headers now so I guess I should receive mine soon? Are you still able to get them coated? Send me an email or PM if you get a chance. Glad to hear everything is going well. You have a great product and I have enjoyed my TriYs from 2005 on the Firebird. Really looking forward to putting a new set on my GTO. If you can start delivering headers within a decent timeframe, I think you will be very busy. Hopefully some success will come your way after all this hard work. |

How about a pm or email list to those who have paid with an expected date? Some of us have project schedules and would like to know when we could expect them. My project is delayed waiting for these and I could move onto other things if I had a reasonable idea of when they expected.

I think I was one of the 2 new orders in February for a set of 1 3/4 tri-ys but haven't received confirmation one way or another. I also noticed that the tribal tubes website is down. Can someone kindly point me in the right direction for Ron's contact info again. I've been searching til my eyes water to try to find that email in this string. Something like awesome455 something.
1st post in 2 years. I gotta learn to quit chattering so much. Kevin - 4mul8ion |

To say that I am tardy with this post is an extreme understatement. I received my headers from Ron about a month ago. I had all good intentions of un-boxing them and posting photos for all to see, but its one of those "out of sight out of mind" things.
My wife un-boxed them for me today and got some photos of the headers for me. I am very pleased with the fit and finish and cant wait to see them mocked up inside the car. I'll Jet Hot them once I have had a chance to make sure everything fits just right. My hat is off to Ron for working hard through ALOT of adversity to get these orders done. I know there are people out there who are still owed product and have bitter feelings. I just hope you can sit tight a little longer and let Ron get caught up. I am so pleased with his work I have already spoken to him about an additional set once his back orders are caught up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looks great Mike. Hey.....might want to consider QC Coatings. Many of the guys over on yellowbullet.com forums have moved away from jethot. They say the quality isnt all that great, especially compared to Bill at QC. They also talk about much better price and lightning turn around. Do a search over there for jethot & QC coatings.....theres more than a couple of threads and lots of guys. I think he quoted me between $145-$165 if I remember, but when you talk to him tell him they are small tube Tri-y's........which compared with some of the monster chevy stuff they are.

Here is a picture of my headers after having a ceramic 'cast iron gray' coating applied. It is just was I was hoping for, but the look might not be right for some people.
TexasDave, how awesome that you have a wife to 'remind' you of a shipment, and then to allow you to take a picture on the wood floor in the house! Mike |

Aron,
I hadn't heard of yellowbullet.com, and tried to see what it was. But it came back as "not allowed, pornography" ( I am at work). ??? Thanks, Russ |

Was asked to post this picture so people could see how the tri-y's sit compared to the oil pan depth.
The Canton pan on my 455 is the Road Race pan for a 2nd gen Firebird, it should be the same depth as a stock pan. The Tri-y's are well above the bottom of the sump. ![]() I need to get another shot from down low to really show the clearance...but these are nice!
