Original tinted windshield and rear window are back where they belong. The last detail is the front bumper and front end assembly. We're getting closer to bringing it home, and just hope the weather stays on the mild side for a while.

The last photo above that shows the cracking in the edge area: you may want to build an internal support under that section out of a paint stirrer stick and panel adhesive and glue it underneath by the edge. This will p[revent the endura material from flexing too far and cracking the primer and paint. The repair/brace is completely invisible once the nose is reinstalled.

The following photos show how it's done. Use masking tape on the underside of the edge. Apply fiberglass resin and stirrer stick optional (for extra support) to the taped area and allow to cure. Remove the tape and the raw reinforcement. Trim the reinforcement to shape and clean the area under the edge. Then use panel adhesive to apply the reinforcement.

Steve,

That is a great idea. You are quite the inventor.

Looking amazing! Can't wait to see done. Looking back over thread, this car is cool. A non RA, 4 speed, with AC, honeys, no spoiler and great color is really a piece of history. I actually like the non RA for a change. What a car.

bird72,

Thanks for the compliments. I do love Canyon Copper and the history of the car which makes it really special to me. It was optioned out almost perfectly for my tastes save for the A/C and vinyl roof I would have left off and got the Ram Air instead. I really think the salesman thought Ram Air came on with the 455HO and found out that it didn't upon delivery. I wonder if there are any 455HO/M22/3.73 stripper Formulas out there (no PS, PB, or other options)...

Dennis, I think Larry's is a stripper. No power anything, no spoiler, no RA, no spoiler... but it has the big 15 inch Rally 2's (handling package)?

Jody,

That's right, I forgot about his Laurentian Green Formy. That is a stripper with the digger gears. I wish he'd start working on that car. I'm not sure if it came with the Handling pkg, or just the 15" R-II's, since you could order just the wheels without the T/A suspension.

Pictures from yesterday's work on the bumper.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Here is the stripper '71 455 HO, Ram Air, 4-speed, 3.73 gear car, 15" Rally II's (no tach & gauges). It does have power steering and is missing the boots on the hood. I'm not sure it was a factory RA car.

I don't have a copy of the PHS, do you Jody?

Hey Dennis - I wonder if it could be this car. A Royal Pontiac stripper, with M22, F60's, no tach / gauges and no Ram Air.

^^^^^

That's the only "stripper" 71 HO Formy invoice I've got. The few others I have are all loaded up M40 cars . . .

lloyd & Mike,

Cool! That IS the PHS for the car. That would be so cool if Mark or Larry could bring it to the TA Nats sometime. It's a shame to keep it hidden.

Larry is planning on racing that car in a few years. We will see it, will just be a little while.
