Here's another one my son took while rafting in the Grand Canyon. I'm posting his pictures because they are a lot better than what I have.

![]() Pic from 1977. My old 68 half ton. It was a Navy truck (surplus sale). It had 292 six, 4 speed with granny low, and 4.11 posi. And like no options. I wish I still had it. I put the big tires on it for off road, took it anywhere. Eventually put a 327 in it.

Great picture...is that a trail crossing from left to right? I'm trying to get an idea of the actual height or size of this land formation. It looks like a person could climb straight up the incline, but I doubt it.

Nice truck, I'd like to own it but they are getting hard to find. I'll post a picture of my 1971 SWB I restored back in 1994. I'd like to have it too.

Here are some pictures I hated to take.
Out on a nice August 2002 afternoon cruise and some fool attempts to hit me head-on. She had run two others off of the road minutes earlier. This happened on a two lane country road at 55 m.p.h. She swerved completely into my lane and this was the best I could do to dodge her Pontiac 6000. It was her or a concrete culvert.

Ken, I bet you know both cars. The '84 SS was sold new at Phelps. I bought it in '93 from the original owner, a long time local car detailer named "Pone". It had just over 30K miles and was the nicest one in the area. It had aluminum wheels, but was stock most of the time that my wife drove it.
The 442 I found in the early 90's in a back yard on 33 in Belvoir near Wright Bros. 427. An ex street -strip racer, it was Rally green and had been known locally as The Incredible Hulk. I was owner #5, buyingit from #4, Louie Hamm. I eventually met owners #2 and #3. The first owner died in 'Nam and the car sat under a carport near Washington for at least ten years. Behind the 442 in the second pic you can barely make out the top of our daughter's car. It was a black and silver Hurst/Olds. Those were our daily drivers for several years. Not sure of the actual height, I'd guess less than 1000.' It could certainly be climbed if they permit it. We went out there and did the Narrows top down hike which requires a permit and also did Angels Landing. Great place.

I really like the look of that car with the whitewall tires. What ever happened to it? I suppose you fixed it?

Thanks Greg, the tires were 30 days old at the time. For 10 years I had run a big and little combination of T/A's and was tired of it. Most people didn't care for the different tires but I thought it added a "sleeper" look.
This started out as a $700 car that I re-did. After it got hit I was too sick about it to want to fix it. I pulled the engine, wheels and tires and and it sold to a guy from PA. |

![]() My uncle signed this Delorean over to me while he spent two years in the Bahamas. He said I could keep it and pay him when he got back, or give it back when he returned. I drove it for two years and gave it back. Fun car. Kurt |
