I was given car craft in place of HPP as well. So I emailed car craft & asked them if they could switch me to Hot Rod since I've been a subscriber for 50 + years.
They said no problem! We'll see

How did everyone get Hot Rod as a substitute and I got Motor Trend for my HPP sub? I hate that Mag. I called and cancelled my sub to MT. Still waiting for a refund.

You probably could have had them transfer the subscription to Hot Rod if desired.

I signed up for HotRod this June at a PowerTour event to get a shirt. So now I'm getting Hot Rod and I guess my HPP has be transferred to Car Craft.

Last week I was in Virginia on vacation and picked up the final HPP issue at Barnes and Noble.

I already have a subscription to HR, maybe that is why they picked MT. At any rate I'll get my dollar2.98 refund and will not renew anything for more than 1 year at a time.

Car Craft will be going the way of Hot Rod for me. Car Craft isn't a bad magazine but I'm subscribed to other magazines and I was a HPP subscriber because I wanted a Pontiac specific magazine not a general "hobbyist" magazine. The powers that be lost me as a subscriber.

I keep getting pounded by e-mails from HPP to renew my subscription.

Anyone else NEVER get any of their magazines after HPP died? I had a two year subscription!

Chris:
I'm still getting Muscle Car Review instead of HPP. Got the November issue a couple weeks ago. I had to call them back when they shut down and tell them I didn't want the Hot Rod subscription they automatically switched me to. I would call them and ask them to send all the issues you have missed!

Damn, I didn't realize that Motor Trend was an option. At least more readable then HotRod. Now too late, by subscription is done after one more issue.

I have not seen this posted elsewhere but thought it was good news! Got this email on November 15th.

Quote:
Pontiac friends:

I am thrilled to announce that Don Keefe, former editor of Pontiac
Enthusiast, Smoke Signals and contributor to High Performance has
launched a new Pontiac magazine, PONCHO PERFECTION.

If you, like me, miss thumbing through the pages of a real Pontiac print
magazine, here is your chance to do so once again.

You can buy the first issue via the link below:

http://ponchoperfection.com/?product...-december-2015

Subscriptions are not yet available, but you can buy your copy of the
first edition now. Or, buy multiple copies, as I did.

This limited print first edition will surely become a collectors item.

Please order your copy today before they run out

Bob Wicker
Ordered my copy already.

The cost per print copy of $10 is pretty laughable.

I'd like to test drive an issue or two for free to see what they will be offering.
