Default 73 SURVIVOR

Sorry for bad spelling, saw the conversation on the 73 I owned and just had to chime in. I was using the little keys on that dam phone..... and after seeing that he wanted 128k for the car that really just blew me away. Anyway I wish him luck, but I don't think he knows how bad the economy is right now......

Default SD distributor service.....

Hey guys, anyone have a distributor serviced and optimised for their SD? If so, who would you recommend?
I got it boxed up and ready to go.
Thanks for the info!

Looks like Steve's car is realistically reflecting where the SD market is right now. I'm watching this auction closely.

Larry,
I used Dave's HEI to rebuild/restore/rebush and curve my 72 w30 Dist to my specs. I asked him to keep the points rather that go with his HEI conversion, then I added a Pertronix kit. looks all stock and runs perfect and I can go right back to points if the Pertronix takes a dump (they can be know to do that so I cary points with me just in case.)

Steve's car stalled at 75k and on the last day here see if it pops. Looks like you might be keeping that car???

Thanks Bryan

Didn't mean to ignore you guys here, just haven't had any time to post anything.

It is a really nice car and it actually won the 70s stock class in a local show a couple weeks ago but it would not do that in a national level show. I bought it back a couple weeks after getting Bob's 74 all the while knowing I couldn't afford both and would need to make a decision. Now a building has turned up I'd like to buy for my business so both cars need to go for sure. Too bad since I was really excited to get it back this time. Years back when I bought it the first time it was driver quality and I made it a point to keep it that way. I had a LOT of fun in that car and have many good memories from it.

Hard to figure the market. 75k now and who knows what the end will be. I've had a lot of inquiries and I did get a call last night with a solid offer to end early but since it's made reserve I feel I should let it run through to the end.

I've seen some imperfect MUNs although not like this. I've never seen the vin # like this. Have any of you guys seen this?

I've looked at the auction a few times. Never paid that much attention to the partial VIN, but I see it. EUN, to me, looks odd because of paint, shadowing and camara angle.

HFR thanks for posting. That's all I had to go by so far was the ebay pics.

It just looks like the 9693 in the block vin don't line up with the other #s.

Owner is supposed to be getting better pics of both areas to my friend who will forward to me. Maybe better pics will make the difference.

Steve, congrats of the sale of that 73 car but price seems low in my book even in today's market. Someone got a great deal and hope I get to see the car in a up and coming show!

I believe the high bidder/buyer is a friend of mine down south. I talked with him last night. He is the same guy who bought my 72 T/A. He has been looking for a red 73 SD for a long time. Congrats on the sale.

Default 73 SD sale

Steve,

I admire you following through on your EBAY sale of the 73. Many people have begun using the site to advertise there good and then back out of the auction when better offer comes along. I have lost many auctions in this manner and have felt cheated every time! Thank you for being stand up guy! Gives me hope that next item i want wont be ended early like so many are!
