That's not off road; that's what the roads were like back then.

Thanks for posting. The Highland Park plant is still standing (empty) and is visible from both Woodward Avenue and I-75.

While this video is Good its got a couple things wrong and is missing some Info.
1. Ransom E. Olds had a working assembly line production of automobiles >> BEFORE << Henry Ford. Yes they were Oldsmobiles
2. Ford Did NOT make or use their own Engines in the model T. ( huh? no way??..)
It seems a couple BROTHERS built all those engines, and even extended CREDIT to FORD to get his "ball rolling" Because Ford was on the brink of bankruptcy. After a while they built their OWN Auto Company, The Dodge Brothers. Yes, Ford Model T's have Dodge Engines!! Designed and built by Dodge!
3. The "ring" used to compress the wheel wood spokes ( the rim edge) in the video is very Hot, and not sure why it did not seem that way, but many portion of footage was sped up.
When it cools it holds the spokes tighter as it contracts.

I see a GTO nose in that picture - right behind the front of the car that is in motion in the lot. Looks like it has hideaway lights. 68 or 69.

Good eyes, your right it is a white car, GTO but my eyes aren't good enough to see if it's a 68 or 69. Those's where the days when you could drive your GTO to any event & see others of the same at the time to. If you look close there seems to be a bunch of 64 Impalas in the lot too.

That's a great photo! That's the 1972 Ferrari 312PB 73. While this photo doesn't show it, the 312PB has a very low profile, and a very wide track. There were three of these cars entered in the 1973 24hrs Of LeMans. One was built to be extremely fast and not last very long, the plan was to have the top competitors chase this "rabbit" Ferrari in hopes they would break, then the other two Ferraris would cruise to victory. Didn't work out that way. The "rabbit" car ended up battling to a 2nd place finish, while the two other Ferraris broke.

I think this photo is from LeMans. You can tell by the large driving lights behind the plexiglass center section in the nose. The "rabbit" car (#16) was driven by relative unknowns Carlos Pace and Arturo Merzario. The other two Ferraris were driven by; Jackie Ickxx and Brian Redman (#15), and the photo above (#17) was driven by Tim Schenken and Carlos Reutemann.
