Default What the Heck?

I thought Ron was ready to make headers?? I am not going to wait 7 months or longer. I have not got any response from Ron and have filed actions with PayPal. I either want my headers or my money. Getting a quality header should not be a gamble nor take longer than 30 days.

I must say that I myself was skeptical after reading this and other threads. While I don't know Ron or Arron, I can tell you that after much consternation I purchased the set of "Cosmetic blems" for the round ports. Not only did they arrive as advertised, they were well packaged and heres the part that really changed my opinion....Even though Arron worked the deal with me, Ron himself called when I missed my Fedex pickup. He wanted to make sure that all was well and that I was happy.
Bottom line is I know it sucks to have cash tied up in a project and be waiting on delivery of something that you want or need. I know that the world is full of people intent on ripping off others but I don't for a second think that this is the case here. I honestly think Rons intentions are pure> The really crazy part is that it seems to be a unique and needed product. I believe its the business model that is suffering but this is due to Rons desire to make everyone whole without raising prices or wiping the books clean and starting again under a new name.
Anyway, my 2 cents

I've been following the situation of these headers for a very long time. When the $50 deposit to get things going deal came up I went ahead and did it. Everything went as expected with no surprises or excuses.

Default Thanks Steve

I get nervous when I give someone money and then its like they fell off the face of the earth. He emailed me when I inquired about his headers, again when he recieved my money, and then nothing. I waited almost 1 month after the payment before attempting to contact him and no reply? I don't bother people weekly or anything. I don't believe he is a crook, and I would love a set of his headers, I just cannot wait forever. If he told me a specific date it might be different? I would gladly pay another 100 bucks to have prompt service. You only have 30 days to file a grievance with PayPal, so Ron needs to stay in contact with his customers and deliver what they paid for or honestly let them know before they pay him what kind of timeframe they are looking at. I want Ron to do well, the Pontiac community needs Ron's products, but he needs to step it up. I would Love to be in Ron's shoes. He has what appears to be too much business?? Why else would a set of headers take more than a month to construct??

I have a silly noob question. Most headers are finished off with a 3 bolt flange, these are not. How are you guys connecting them into your systems? DO i need to weld in a flange before I sent them off to the coater?
thanks

If Ron's are like the Tri-Ys made by H-O Racing back in the day, the collector has NO flange. This is to maximize ground clearance. You use a slip-fit pipe on the collector instead.

He'll put whatever on them that you want. You could also use the stainless band clamps to connect them to the same size pipe. They are really slick.

Don't have headers yet. Ron missed a great free advertising opportunity by not having the headers at Westech when we shot pix for an upcomming Car Craft article. Had to run Hooker 2" SuperComps. Rented the dyno a second day just for testing of manifolds , carbs, oils , and headers.

Ron has had a few health issues over the last two weeks or so. He had prescriptions in Ca for them but were not easy at all to get things going in Oregon. Our physicians were of course in Ca & we haven't taken the time to get any local Doctors yet. He finally has this taken care of since Tuesday.

It seems that in Ca its far easier to get meds & hand them out like candy. In Oregon they make sure you need them & if they know you came from Ca they make you suffer before getting it to prove it. We have found out so far that Oregon has safe guards to prevent all the leeches that live off the system in Ca from doing the same to there state. Even though its an inconvenience at first to the ones that really need it.

Ron says that's the way he would prefer it but wishes there was a better way to go about the process.

Ron has worked the whole time but less because of some of the issues caused from not having the meds. He's glad that's behind him now. I had tried to get him to take it a little easier until he got the prescriptions here but the way he is, is he wants to keep moving forward every chance he can. Even when its not the best for him. Its caused a little friction here between Ron & me about his health but that's all I'm going to say on that. I'm glad that's over.

Hope he gets better soon, I certainly hope this can all get cleared up. I'm sure the stress of orders is not help whatsoever.

Here's a question that maybe some can shed light on:

Since 2005, I haven't been able to get any sort of list/order out of Ron. Asking him directly, he won't tell me how many orders are in front of me... Why is he against posting up who is in line/what order he'll be making headers?

Default Headers delivery update

I want to just let anyone interested that I have not received my headers yet. I am NOT complaining, I am just trying to give some context to the timeline thus far. It will be 7 weeks next Tuesday since I was told I was next in line to get mine.

I am taking 3 packages to ship tomorrow. I don't know who there for but one package says Nessy on it.

Ron says he will have two more to ship on Fri.
