There are generally three sides to every story...with that said...I don't understand the double standard around here.
If your issues were with "certain" product manufactures or builders then the posts, support and indignation would be never ending, yet in this case...crickets from most who live to opine on this stuff. ![]() If you are an active member on YB, post it up on TOBT. The have a unique way of getting to the truth and help with resolution in many instances. Good luck on sorting through this. |

RAIV-Z purchased complete engine through McCarty Racing who Sourced the Build and Assembly through BES. Said engine received is a bunch of crap put together as ALL the pictures show. Said supplied parts changing throughout the build, Cam Specs changed multiple times. No Customer Support after the Sale, No Opinions just facts. Why doesn't Lynn just step up and Fix this engine? |

1 replacement header flange showed up in the mail today, sent by the shop that Lynn contracted to build the 321 stainless turbo headers.

I've been waiting for it since the engine was delivered in March.

Here is why I needed another header flange....
Before the header build started, IndyCartel the fabricator Lynn selected was specifically told I’ll be using tall billet valve covers and to make sure there was plenty of room to get a box wrench on all the headers bolts. ![]()

I might try a bit of modification first. On valve cover clearance,,what if you took a cut off wheel & sliced through about 3/4 of the tubes coming up from the bottom, then bend the collector out & away from the valve cover & weld back up. Dont know if that sounds right. The bolt issue can get a little dimple to make the wrench fit. Just the thickness of a cut off wheel will make a big difference up top.

Cutting and tipping them back will cause clearance issues with the suspension. Below is the spacing required to allow the header to fit with minor valve cover contact. ![]() ![]()

What about some stainless header studs?
To be honest, if they don't fit, they should fix them. Being stuck with fancy looking sh*t that don't work isn't cool.

No, due to clearance issues the existing header will need to be cut up and modified to fit or completely replaced.
