Brew,
That car has been up for sale before on E-Bay with the same Buy It Now price. I question the filler panel ( between the front bumper and the Header panel ) being original as they all tend to break and crack. It's a nice car except for the A/C option.Factory hot rods were'nt meant to have A/C !!!!!!!!!!

you can't ask for a much better high desert climate to preserve a car than that area of Texas. Gets hot in summer but cools off very nicely at night and you could leave bare metal out in a garage for years and hardly get surface rust. Would love to see a lot more documentation on such a rare one owner car.

Visited him back in 1980 At that time he had the best collection of RA/SD 69-74 pontiacs in the world . I feel very privileged to have met him several times and got to see his amazing well preserved and rare firebirds including a low mileage 70 RAIV TA all original DT

Had . I believe formula sd is last one. I know where most of the RAIVs and 73 SDs went and they're in good hands spread around in different collections.

He had reds and greens 4 speeds and autos. If I'm bad with pictures now can you imagine how bad I was when I was in my 20s .

Yes, then a lot of pics showing rear bumper with no guards, and then one with guards all of a sudden.

I looked at that car when my friend in Maryland had it a couple years ago, and we were working on a deal for my 72 T/A, but he ended up purchasing my car outright shortly after the SD was sold.

I do not think the engine issue has been attended to. On the only test drive that he did with the car after he initially bought it, the oil pressure dropped to zero and the lifters started rattling within seconds. He immediately shut it down and had it towed home. Sounded like a faulty oil pump with a stuck check ball. I was going to pull the engine and have my kids help me rebuild it as another family project and then just drive the car as a survivor, but it went to this dealer before I could work out a deal on it. He told the dealer about the oil pressure problem and they assured him they would repair it. I believe he has aked about the engine issue recently and was told the car was running fine and didn't require any internal engine work. This was the major reason why we wanted to work out a trade for the car - it was just the kind of project I was looking for at the time.

It's a neat car. Interior is perfect. The underside is original dusty and greasy. The polyethylene front valance was repaired by an amateur after the car was found in the barn and it was filled with bondo at the top where it is supposed to mount to the valance. It hangs out as a result. I guess they didnt have anything to compare it to, to know what it was supposed to look like.

I have some photos of it but none on a lift.

Undercar lift pics are there now. Pretty much what we'd expect, other than more White overspray (underspray???) than typical.

Yeah, there the first thing to go on that system.
Notice it doesnt have the lower black spoiler on the radiator support. Which is odd for a 73 car since most had them. Wonder if it has holes from where the spoiler was or not???

Mine doesn't have that lower spoiler either. No holes too. Mine's a very early June car no AC.
