TEG, please understand by no means was I questioning the soundness of your decision to sleeve. Yes, without a doubt new metal for the rubber gaskets to slide over will ensure leakfree operation. I was just pointing out I have never seen one bad enough to require it. A slight hone of the bore brings new clean metal to light and works as well. As many know, I am realy a TA guy and quite possibly misplaced on this thread. But, our 1970/71 Masters are identical so the diuscussion is valid. My 1970 which is a driver, is driven at least 300 miles per month, a bunch for one of these old cars. My guess is most restored cars don't get this much use in a year. I finished this car 2 years ago and I have had no leaking and/or depreaciation ov breaking ability.. But yes, without a doubt, sleeving will work. But a hone of the bore achives the same result...new smooth metal for the primary and secondary pistons' rubber "o-rings" ,really gaskets but sort of like o rings, to seal to. So please do not take my comments as questioning your decision. It wasn't meant as such..
