I am curious about the two holes in the top of the dash shown in this picture?

Really? The photos are displaying fine on my end, and I posted them using the same method as the initial post.
Is anyone else unable to see the photos from post #19? Quote:

Ok, now I'm seeing what you guys (aren't) seeing. The photos display fine using a PC, but not when viewing on a mobile device. Must be a compatibility issue with the app. I'll fix tonight.
The holes in the dash are for the dash pad mounting clips.

OK, the 66 had a dash pad that covered the whole top except the vents and speaker grille. My 67 has a smaller pad that covers the paint line on your dash. Oh yeah, I'm on a PC and can't see your last pictures either.

I can't see post 22 now either.
I did see it before. Wonder if it's a problem of too many views? (the host site won't allow too many views)

Alright, since I cannot edit existing posts after an hour has passed, I'll just include the photos from posts #19 and #22 here, this time using Imgur rather than Google Photos. Please let me know if the photos still aren't showing up.
Yesterday I test fitted my donor trunk lid. It fit very nicely and is in great shape. I feel very fortunate to have found it. I wanted to save the trim from my original trunk, which was no small feat. Because the rear edge of my original trunk was rotted out so badly, the previous owner had glued it on... I moved on to remove the trim around the windshield. No big surprises here. I knew there was rust at the base of the windshield. Fortunately, the rust seems to be isolated to the center panel at the base of the cowl. The outer pillars can probably be reused. I didn't see any rust up higher, but the glass is still in, so we'll see... On a related note, some of the trim clips were in rather poor shape. How does one go about fixing that issue. Are replacement clips available? Here is the part that I think is going to be a headache. My A/C heater box is pretty ratty. Based on what I've read so far, nobody makes reproductions of the A/C heater boxes, correct? To add insult to injury, I see that Ames does not make reproduction metal for the side kick panel/inner cowl in this location for A/C cars. Does anyone else? Lastly, here is the photo showing the dash pad retainer clips that go into the holes of the dash that folks were curious about. Thanks for reading!

Well, the good news is that the photos are showing up...the bad news is that they are billboard sized.
That's good for seeing minute detail but it's kind of difficult to get a sense of what you're looking at overall. For the last few years, ever since the photobucket debacle, I have just been attaching the pics using the forum attachment features. If you want it full sized, just copy the web address of the copied photo and imbed it into the post. It will be reduced in size to something more user friendly. Subscribed to watch your progress. I have dreams of restoring a '66 one day!

The heater box photo you posted looks like the A pillar isn't rusted
Looks like its just the flange that is rotted out. You need to remove the heater box which is no small feat if you aren't doing a frame off restoration. If you do remove the box and the evaporator in the engine section you will see that flange is 2 piece and screwed to the A pillar with 5/16 self tapping screws, I just bought the 2 piece flange myself, Hard to find , not cheap |
