The date code?

Date code is back near the distributor close to the big '70'.
First letter is month cast (A = Jan, B=Feb, etc.) Next to digits are day of the month. (01-31). Last digit is year. 9 = 1969, 0 = 1970, 1 = 1971, etc.) D 01 1 would be April 1st, 1970. Red circle in the pic. |

Correct. The typo got by me. I even re-read it twice before I posted it.......
In the example given, the production date would be April 1st 1971.
But I'm pretty sure that all the 9799140 blocks were cast in 1970. Thus the freudian slip. Sorry. |
