I once saw a 69 (probably non TA, but with TA body parts) just driving around that was black with gold stripes and tail. While plain black doesn't normally seem good choice for a 69, it was sharp.

This is my car. I've done quite a bit of work to it since purchasing. I wanted to try and keep its original "day 2" look. I've been conflicted over whether to go ahead and sand it down and take it back to original (the original paint is under the blue) to see how everything looks or leave as is. My other issue is I have too many other things going on and is why I posted it for sale. The high number was to keep the tire kickers away. If anyone is seriously interested (as the FB ad stated) I'm happy to talk.
