Putting a spring on the pedal to pull it back up too. Auto part store springs look kinda dinky. Anyone know where to get a decent spring

PY has the correct springs. If your talking about universal springs Dorman has them. I found an assortment of springs on a card. In the Help section, which is Dorman, at Carquest. IIRC.
I walked all the way out to the garage just for you. I hope you appreciate it.

Dorman 29004 available at your local parts store. Now, Geter done!

I looked on Ames and all they had was the fork to ? Spring. I ordered a set of those springs today. I will try them on the pedal. Thanks

Oh I got those springs I just meant a spring from the pedal to the dash to pull it all the way up. I found one
