Thanks for posting the pictures. Looks like my #4902 Comps are routed differently than your Super Comps.

Did anyone hold on to any of their stock exhaust manifolds, specifically the driver's side for a '73?

I meant ones easily accessible, able to be boxed & shipped when the check clears.

I just put Super Comps on my 71 last night, I had to ding the passenger side tube because it hit the pittman arm. I had so much trouble getting the engine in the car, beginning to wonder if the frame might be tweaked? It doesn't look like it, but with stuff not lining up properly, makes me wonder.....

Hey Rob, I'm in Cincinnati (actually just off River road) are you parting the Ventura in the barn? I'd actually like to take a look at it for some reference stuff on the race car I'm building.

Okay, thats the ones i have. I have heard that the 71-72 models are slightly different than the 73-74 models. Maybe the steering/subframe is part of the difference?

I did not have to tweak mine at all but there are some close spots. My car had been in a front pass. side collision before i bought it. I had to straighten out the very front of the frame where the bumper bolts to. When i had the bodywork done my bodyman said the cars body was crooked on the frame so he starightened it out but i have not looked underneath it since then so maybe things are tighter? I found most my header issues with the pass. collecter touching the trans. crossmember and the pass. front tube very close to the a-arm. Driver side was pretty good, alittle tight around the steering box but nothing major.

This is a whole new car for me. Wife got it for me for my 50th B-day back in July. I am just now getting it all together. She has been great with the check book, as she thought that because all it needed was a motor and trans (which I had) we would drop it in and go, lol. Well new alum 4 core radiator, electric fan set up, headers, new wiring lol, we are about 8000 grand deep so far, and still not to the track. She even got me a new (used) trailer for the car. What a wife :-).....Hope to have it to the track before too long. I think she is excited about seeing it go as I am.

That car is up in Greensburg, slated to come back to the house sometime next month when other kid activities calm down. It is identical to mine so if you need a reference, I'm over in Hidden Valley, just swing on by sometime.

Hidden Valley Lake is just over the Ohio Border on Stateline Rd off of 50. Just 10 minutes from the new Cleves Kroger, if you know where that is.

Hey Rob, did you ever get the Ventura home that you talked about earlier? I am in search of grills? Do you have some? Mine is 71, but would consider useing 72 or 73's

You would have to convert the nose piece (header) to use 73-74 grilles as well as bumber, mounts, etc. I have a couple extra's of those somewhere but don't have anything from a 71-72.
