OK, I put it all back together. The accelerator pump was sticking a little in the bore so I used another one from Cliff and it was OK. Also I went with the Cliff CPO which has a nice slow release. The other one did too as long as the second nipple is capped, like Kenth said.

Anyway, test drive was successful. Runs great again. No noticeable difference from the previous carb.

I just bought a dragy so now I need to do some testing so I can compare to the other carb once I get it rebuilt. I may want to try some other secondary rods too.

I will say this about Quadrajet Power, that carb is is a really nice core. I went all out with all the plating etc. It looks beautiful, inside and out. The condition of the core is fantastic. Even the fuel inlet threads look practically like new.
