Check your oil pump passage to block passage. I had a misalinment problem on a block years ago, and after polishing the passages in the block, discovered the problem. I had an SD455 pump and couldn't get more than 20lbs at a 1000 rpm idle. Double check the oil feed holes to bearing holes too. And don't forget to clean the crankshaft's oil passages and alinmentto the bearings. Also, what direction was your crankshaft turned and polished? I 've seen shops turn crankshafts the opposite way from the way it turns in the engine. If the crank is turnned or polished that way, it will eat bearings. What happens is there is material that is left sticking up like ,say teeth, that srubs the bearing. If you could see it under a microscrope, it would amaze you. To check your pump to block passage, get two studs to put in the block, then use machinist dye on the pump face, and slip it on while the dye is still wet. Push just enough to leave a tracible ink stain on the block. The opening in the block and pump can then be "ported" to match. Hope this helps.

Brian, I may be there. I was at NED tonight for the last day ceremonies (where everyone tries to beak their sh*t!) and it was cold and started raining at the end of the night. I think I may be sick now! LOL Been a very long week.

I may show up just to see Misus'headers though. Who really knows. LOL
