The spring embedded itself in the pressure plate face & flywheel, what was left of it anyway! And I'll always run a blow-proof! Chucks got thrown around in the bellhousing and put a million nicks around the entire inside. I think it actually separated before it tossed the spring, and it was a shift or two later the spring kept it from engaging. As I recall, it was a 1-2 speed shift at like 6500+....
