Spoke to the owner of the Silver Judge on ebay the first time he had it listed. It was bid up to $54K the first time and reserve not met. Where is that bidder now? I have not seen car in person but got detailed info and pics from owner. This is a very nice Judge. Looking at the numbers and date codes posted in the listing, I would say the block may be original but some other components may not be. One head, carb and intake date do not match up with car build date so maybe some warranty replacements?

Here is the Palladium Silver Judge I picked up last summer. So it is now at least 1 of 4.

John, where'd you find that Judge? About 6 or 8 years ago, I was looking at a real rough Palladium Silver Judge w/ black vinyl roof. Had blue interior and 4 speed. Looked a lot like that one in your pic. I still have the PHS.

I happened to see the auction while the 40k bidder still had his bid in place. 40k met the reserve, later on he retracted his bid.

SWEET : I was asking - 1)What is the casting date on the block. 2)What is the engine unit number stamped above WS block code (seller states his partial VIN is also his engine unit number - as well as partial VIN stamped down by timing cover). 3)What is build date of Car.

The Car is what it is, and the Car is nice. 1 of 3 or 1 of 627. No problem.

If the block is right - or if it's wrong - no problem - just a matter of more money to spend to get it where it should be if it's not. That's what my neighbor is trying to determine so he can place his educated bid in the last seconds (oops).

Talk about the VIN being on the block ALL DAY LONG - it's even on there in two different locations, according to seller ? Still don't mean it wasn't tampered or that the block date corresponds with the build date - it's not a one owner Car and no incriminations are intended or pursued - Okay ? If everything is good - that's GREAT. If it's off - He bids less. If we can't get this easy info (and haven't been able to) He just won't bid near as much - and it's close to his top "unknown info" price now. It helps to know what is re-usable and what might need replacing besides the carb and Intake, and possibly the heads. As of now - we assume the whole engine is out of synch until determined otherwise.

Any Help at all ?

I was interested in the Judge the first time it ran on Ebay, but was not satisfied with the answers to my questions. The mileage was suspect, hideaways have been added, there's no indication of the M21 or 390 on the build sheet. The seller doesn't seem to know much about Pontiac's, but has owned five Judges?

Also, the high bidder on both previous auctions was located 30 minutes away from the seller. I hate when that happens.

OK guys im trying to help SAMMY with this car & his FINANCIAL problem. Im also trying to help you guys out there cause you have all helped me.

Im trying to work out the numbers & i will personally go to sammys & check the numbers myself.

I can tell you ALL this the price now is VERY VERY close to the reserve
Its gonna go but sammy is frustrated with over anal questions.

AS i mentioned, to Sammy this is a CAR, it just happens to be his favorite & a RARE color. To me its an incredible SUPER CAR, anything wrong (MOST CARS) can be fixed cheaply & in a weekend i feel.

i know we all want a deal, we want GOLD for copper BUT THATS HISTORY the deals are gone.


If someone bought my BASEBALL CARD COLLECTION, or my Glass body GTO & PRO STOCK RACE ENGINE, THAT CAR WOULD BE IN MY GARAGE no questions asked.
I understand its very hard to look make a decision over the net.

Ive been in the car on the car under the car & i still want it.

THIS CAR WILL ONLY GO UP, correct or incorrect, theres enough parts & talented people out there.

We are meeting with 2 people tomorrow to look at the car, & i know of 2 other people who have strong intrest in it.

i can tell you all this too, When i got my judge i asked Sammy for help & info on every little thing cause i wanted my car to be as correct as it came off the assembly line.

i could tell i was asking way tooo much, asking about things that didnt concern him.

to me it was very important, to him hey its just a car.

So i dont know if people are asking crazy questions or they are confusing him

UPC- I got that Judge out of Texas. Silver with Blue interior and Blue Cordova Top. If that is not a rare color combo I don't know what is. Judge is RA3, auto, A/C. Has all original sheetmetal and rear spoiler. Very solid body despite bad surface rust seen in picture.

SWEETJUDGE- I agree the 69 on ebay is worth the reserve and probably more. Even if the engine or some components are not original, the car is STILL A JUDGE and I don't see the prices dropping on those just yet. The added hideaways should add to the value of the car since they are a desirable option and Silver Judges with hideaways look great!

John, wow, blue cordova top? That is VERY unusual. The Judge I looked at was Palladium Silver, black top, blue interior. RA-III, 4-speed. Pretty far gone even back then, but I wished I would have saved it. Strange color combo. Yours is a great find.

I remember there being a real nice silver '69 RAIV Judge around the Milwaukee area. Last saw it about 5 years ago. I don't know if the owner still has it or not.

Here's my 2 cents.

If you're advertising a car as "rare" and "1 of ..." and all that and you claim to have had multiple versions of this rare car and you play up the rarity in your advertisement - they are ALL legitimate sales methods.

... HOWEVER, then you cannot be "bothered" when people ask you to verify certain things about the car. ESPECIALLY when it will take 10-15 minutes of someone's time to verify all the neccessary info. Now, if the owner is smart and telling the truth then it is in HIS BEST INTEREST to get the info that everyone seems to want and then he wouldn't have to advertise the car multiple times ... it would sell the very first time.

If I was his friend, and I was "over the car, under the car, and in the car" I would have this information already at my disposal as well.

It's a great car. It's worth real money no matter if it had a Chebby 350 in it but it would be worth MUCH LESS. With a Pontiac 400 even more. With another RAM AIR 400 even more. Date codes correct even more. The truth is the owner already knows this. No?

It bugs me when people do little things that don't add to the visuals or value of a car... and take away some originality.

Why would someone add a "GTO" logo above the heater controls ?

A June build date car did not have that on it, along with the glove box emblem.

I am not trying to nit pick, it's just that some things don't make sense.

I saw that as well but figured the dash had been replaced way back before all of us were so picky...

I have three 69's all with the GTO lucite emblem over the heater controls. Why do you say this would not be correct?

Because of the build date of the car, it is months after the emblem was discontinued.

Red Goat- The GTO dash emblem for non-AC cars was deleted by Pontiac sometime in early 1969. I think I saw a copy of the memo dated Dec 1968 and most plants installed them until supply ran out. So the actual cutoff date varies by plant. All of yours must be either built before Jan 69 or had the emblem added by a dealer or previous owner. Personally I like the emblems on the dash but they would definetly not be correct for a June 69 built Judge.

This auction ends today and the seller was never able obtain the date code from the engine. Matching numbers? I doubt it.
