We are still waiting to see if anyone has a car shipped before 2/5/69. I know that there are quite a few shipped on that date.

Can you post the PHS for us? This would be the first one that I have seen shipped earlier than 2/5/69. If the car was built the fourth week of January and shipped on 1/31, it must have been shipped very quickly. I would think that 01A would refer to the first full week of the month. If so, that would have made 01D the week ending with Feb.1, 1969.

Anyway, please post the PHS for us. thanks

Your car may have been used by PMD for a while before being sold. That is a long spread. I believe Sweet Muscle has a large spread also on his January Judge.

I am still looking for a PHS to be posted with a ship date before 2/5/69.

Try, try again:

Can anyone post a PHS for a Judge with a ship date prior to 2/5/69? (I'm also interested in hearing of other 2/5/69 ship dates.)

Thanks

Default judge ship date:

You have to remember that not all the cars were trucked to the dealers from the plant directly. They used to ship them by rail to railheads and then truck them so that might explain a small gap in the dates from when the car left the factory and when it got to the dealer. Depending on where the car came from and where it was going to and don't forget that some of them were probably damaged in transit and had to be fixed before they showed up to the dealer.
Taking all that into consideration I'm sure you can understand the gap in time between cars leaving the factory and arriving at the dealer.I'm sure they stockpiled the cars either at the factory or railheads and then shipped them to the dealers when they had a full truckload going to that area. Also when did the press release say they would be available? That would have alot to do with it too.
Just my two cents worth......

Camarox, your build date must be the "1B" . Built 2nd week of January. Shipped 3rd week of January on 23rd.
My "2C" Baltimore doesn't use the "0" prefix either (ex 02C).

Yours is the first one I have personally seen that was shipped in January. You beat GTOPLACE to the punch ! And yours was even shipped 8 days sooner than the 31st.

PLUS it was an Export ! PLUS it's the earliest NoN-PatterN built Judge I've come across. Yours has the Pattern - plus 6 more options, not counting the anti-freeze charge.

I say you have a Very neat 69 Judge. Very Cool. You can probably rest assured it was the first Judge anyone in Canada ever saw.

Distance from plant to dealer could have been a factor for it to have been released so early compared to any others so far.

Would certainly still like to see the info on GTOPLACE's Judge also. His would be just as interesting.

That is what I was thinking. A car to Canada would need a head start to coordinate a release date. But GTOPlace's Judge may not have been shipped to Canada.
