It's a beautiful car but I think he got a little carried away with the description...
389/425 HP TROPHY TRI-POWER V-8 ENGINE EVERY NUT, BOLT AND ITEM ON THIS CAR IS N.O.S. |

The car looks like the one from the Randy Williams Collection that was sold at the Mecum fall auction last year. If so a very very nice car, as were the rest of the cars the family had there.

I think a Scott Tiemann restored it ? if it is the car from the Williams Collection.
These were talked about before: http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...randy+williams |

I absolutely LOVE that year and model... One of the finest designs ever IMHO.

I called the guy,no alu bumper, not the Williams car as best I could find out.Nice but without any documented race history and bucket seats might be a little high.He did say it was built with NOS parts,NO repo stuff.FWIW.I like mine even more now!LOL

i would put a small amount of money on this car being the one from dad's collection. too many things look familiar for it to be a coinidence.
either way the '61 from dad's collection was not restored by scott. it was purchased from ed giolma. if memory serves, ed did the restoration himself. jerod |

Jerod, thanks for the info. If anyone knows how to restore a '61, it would be Ed Giolma. Do you recall when your dad bought that car? I met Ed at the POCI nationals in 2001; he had a couple cars there and I seem to remember one of them had a SD389 in it although I can't remember if it was a red one...I'd have to dig through old photos and see if I have any pictures.
