Looks very good until you get into the details. I too do not remember seeing it at the PSN. FWIW and without sounding too much like a nut...A few things I see include:
8 track is not listed on the invoice Clock knob is later model and/or OTC replacement Steering wheel hub appears to have smooth finish but should be krinkle Wiring underhood has some afterkmarket looking covering ??? Engine color appears incorrect Black anodizing on steering wheel spokes shows major fading...have not seen that even on Texas cars AC piping at evaporator box has been painted or ??? Lots of aftermarket hose clamps in strange places Wrong tips on exhaust Not sure on this one but was space saver spare an option in 1970? Invoice does not show it... master cylinder and cap do not look correct...maybe it was a 70 thing Lug nuts Sorry I could not help myself. Bottom line: I would not mind owning it. She is a looker. Almost looks like the marker lamp opening has been worked like you have to do with the repro quarter skins.

And I don't think the guy who put the Trans Am decals on the fenders got the placement right.

The "comfortweave" looks to be some kind of simulated (or real?) snakeskin vinyl. Notice how the lines look kind of wavy.

Is my eyesight going or is there no seam between the tail panel and the lower quarters??
I am not trying to pile on too heavy because it is a pretty decent car, but seems fully priced at the $33k that it is currently bid up to.... |

I think that I can make out the tail panel / quarter panel seam on the driver's side, but maybe not on the passenger side. Pics are kinda dark, though.

Agree Lloyd. He states he has a "...completely restored example ready to show." Not sure which show he is referring but if it showed up for judging at a POCI show...
She is a beauty from a distance. I wish the seller and the future buyer well. Jim |
