American born of Pakistani immigrant parents. Muslim from birth. Joined U.S. military immediately after high school. Received medical degree in 2001 from the military's Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. Interned at Walter Reed.

Witness testimony thus far has indicated:

He passed out copies of the Koran to friends and neighbors that were printed in different languages. He was vocally outspoken against the U.S. military involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. He discussed issues on Islam at medical lectures rather than on the intended topic of medicine. He purportedly shouted "Allahu Akbar" prior to opening up on his victims.

Information gathered from law enforcement officials thus far has indicated:

He came to their attention at least 6 months ago because of internet postings about suicide bombings and other threats, including posts that equated suicide bombers to soldiers who throw themselves on a grenade to save the lives of their comrades, but a formal investigation had not yet been opened on him because they weren't certain whether the posts were authored by him. His computer was seized from his apartment just last Friday during a search conducted by LEO's.

Nah, you're probably right, Jim...nothing political or religious going on with this guy...just another nutjob gone over the edge from PPTSD (pre post traumatic stress disorder) over the thought of being deployed to a combat region.

CBS "News" just did a story on it. They report that he used "a gun popular with Mexican drug cartel members". They followed with the fact that it can hold a 20 round magazine!!! and is known as "a cop killer"! OOOOHHHHWWWWW, THAT gun.
Never mentioned the manufacturer, nor caliber, but displayed a 1911 style semi automatic.

I wonder where this is headed.
Does anyone else see a renewed demand for tighter gun control laws?

You mean a Colt pistol? That can hold a 20 round magazine?
I don't suppose the reporters used the term 'assault rifle' by any chance.

Sounds like typical anti-gun folks that don't know much about firearms.

It has been reported by witnesses today the while he was shooting he was
shouting .... "ALLAH AKBAR"

In case anybody still thinks it was NOT Muslim oriented, look up what the phrase means!

PS He'll no doubt be declared mentally incompetent like Malvo here in the Md/DC case.

When as a nation are we gonna WAKE UP! And get our heads out of our ----s? Everytime you turn around there is another one in place of authority where they can do great damage!

Several years ago here in Baltimore WBAL was interviewing a MD STATE POLICE CAPTAIN. He was standing there telling people how dangerous and illegal the fully auto TEC-9 is that was used in this shooting AND HES HOLDING A - MAC10 - UP TO THE CAMERA.

Having had a TEC-9 (which is ONLY SEMI-auto) and knowing the difference, I called and spoke with him at his barracks because I was so pi....ed about the deception. I got the same kind of ignorant BS directly as hed put out on the news. I was wrong he was right!

It isnt only media that are ignorant!!

I'll tell you one thing, you don't see raging mobs of Roman Catholics running around blowing people away! This was Islamic jihad plain and simple!

Or Jews, or Hindu's, or Taoist's, or Budhist's, or...get the picture?

Waiting for someone to say "but what about McVeigh"?

Brian Id be willing to lay 8 to 5 that -if- the truth were -told- McVeigh was a convert to you know what.

Same as the Air Force guy who dropped the 4 2000lb bombs off of his A-10 out in the west desert then crashed his plane against the Colorado Mountain! Anybody remember that?? Those bombs are without doubt in the wrong hands and one of these days will become another headline!
(Just like all of the automatic weapons and ammo plus shoulder fired missiles w/launchers that the FBI had stolen out of their van at the motel parking garage in Ky several years ago! Anybody remember that??)
BTW you better not get caught leaving any small arms in your car and stop at McD's for a burger on the way to the range!!

PS Does anybody in Dallas have a 'Jack Ruby' they could spare for a brief hospital trip?

Out of all this please don't forget the hero cop that took him out, she didn't worry about her own safety, just taking down this P.O.S.

The woman cop that took him down was also injured in the gunfight. I haven't seen or heard any news in the last 24 hrs. though, so I don't know the latest. I'd be willing to bet if interviewed, she would tell you she's no hero, that she was just doing her job.

She took three rounds: 2 in the leg and one in the wrist/arm. Obviously to get hit three times, she was "standing tall" and trading rounds in the open. She put 4 into the scum bag so she was a pretty good shot. She was in intensive care and he was in a coma.

So much for the gun be'n a cop killer.
Lib's news stations still try'n to promote an anti-gun agenda.

The POS news media was down playing the Muslim angle big time. They were justifying, yes justifying, his frickin' rampage. They said he was stressed by his job and by seeing and treating wounded soldiers for PTS. I just about crushed the damn radio. He was a Muslim fundamentalist, jihad promoting, suicidal maniac. Hello out there.....

since it probably will be that "guns kill", I think also we should ban the phrase "Allah Akbar", since it was involved in the killing too, it was the phrase that actually pulled the trigger......
