71 endura Lemans GOT THE SQUARE GRID grill but it isnt plastic, its aluminum, thin aluminum pretty delicate....ive had quite a few grills, and nice ones are tuff to get...paper thin strips of aluminum... they almost look like an after thought, and look very sloppily installed if you see one out of the car...

My '71 GT-37 was built 12E December 1970. Originally Rosewood Metallic (78). Repainted yellow years before I got it. It has the diecast GT-37 nameplates on the fenders so it would've had eyebrow stripes. I assume a Rosewood car would've gotten red/white??

Interesting question regarding the late GTOs having the sword stripe. I've never seen one, and hadn't even considered the possibility. Now I wanna know too.

My guess based on what Jack said a documented T-37 built in April got two color stripes as a factory option as did GTOs. NOS ones are rare but out there..

GT-37 stripes were standard, but switch to swords for more WOW and color..

Judge stripes ended when Judge option ended and not an option on other cars. JMHO

Here is a bulletin dated March 15, 1971.

Sounds like the T-37/GT-37 switched to the sword stripe and the LeMans, LeMans Sport, and GTO continued to use the eyebrow stripes.

That is a cool bulletin - thanks for posting. I had seen it before but couldn't remember who posted it. Saved it this time!
