500 series BME's at the same length, 6.700" are about 40g lighter then the 396 series from the comparisons I've had over the past few weeks.

I was leaning on using a BM rod next season in a circle track application. I called and talked to Bill to pick his thoughts. He said they had mixed results. He did not recommend a aluminum rod in that type of racing where you go wide open, then let off repeatedly. In a drag race app i have over 100 passes +dyno time on a set of 426 series rods at 1000+ hp. This series rod can take much more hp than this. Eric, what series rod do you use? |

BME rods (396s) in my hemi have around 200 runs on them. A "run" is up to 20 seconds long in mini-rod pulling. I see them going "forever", with only 3.75" stroke, no more than 9,000 RPM, and probably a little shy of 1,000 HP.
