I'll be there with one of two cars. Either the 66 Bonneville or the 65 GTO with the new motor. Mark Samford of Samford Racing Heads and probably Jim Robertson of R.A.C.E. will be coming with me.

The Racer entry fee is a weekend pass for racing both on Friday and Saturday.

Friday is a Test 'n Tune day. That said, we will run a round of Ultimate Warrior and Super Chief qualifying on Friday.

Here is an overview of gate and race times:

Friday - July 8th
Gates Open -9:00 AM - Competition begins 11:00 AM
Track Closes - 3:30 PM - Gates Close - 4:00 PM

Saturday - July 9th
Gates Open - 7:00 AM - Competition begins 10:00 AM
Track Closes - 4:30 PM - Gates Close - 5:00 PM

So Friday is test-n-tune only? No racing?

The plan is to have some exhibition runs from our Pure Stock and Nostalgia Super Stockers.

We are also going to have a couple of "gambler" races, Box and No-Box with some grudge matches if so desired.

Sunday is Beechbends regular NHRA program if you stay around town. Its scheduled anyway. Saturday nite is usually "fun nite" at the track. Dont know if they will re-open after we are done. Probably wouldnt hurt to call them. Fun nite is grudge matches and tt stuff.

http://www.beechbend.com/dragschedule.htm

Saturday nite is their other track (Music City 1/8 mile regular program) just north of Nashville. http://www.musiccityraceway.com/racingschedule.htm

So if your looking for more racing their is plenty around. Other tracks too.

So do you camp inside the track where you pit at or do you have to leave the track after racing and go to their camp grounds. It's been a very LONG time since I've been there!

If you use this link to the POCI Convention thread, you can see the campground area lower and track/pits upper. It's all in the same facility.

http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...d.php?t=657380

We'll try to get a link up to an aerial shot.

The campground is right next to the pits. We always camp in the pits. Really nice facility. You will not have to leave the track.

Jim,

Both the Ultimate Warrior and Super Chief classes are open to ALL TYPES OF VEHICLES...but they MUST run a TRADITIONAL PONTIAC ENGINE.

The attached flyer details all of the class rules. For some reason, my site, www.4mypontiac.com is down right now. All of the event details are also posted at http://4mypontiac.com.
