Matt, I bet that bracket is the same one shown in the parts catalog used on '63 tempest 4cyl. Same name, same bolt layout. Here's the 63 diagram:

Here's the '63 illustration list:

Note number 46 on the '63 list is worded exactly the same as number 19 on the '64 list.

And here's the '63 part number, which I think is the same part for '64:

If true, you can now also shop for '63 4cyl A/C car parts. Hmmm, maybe rarer than '64's with A/C

Thanks again Ron...the info I have is that the '64 front plate is part # 9774771, which makes sense since the cast bracket is 9774770. So I'm assuming it's different than '63 Tempest but maybe not!

Either way, thanks for the diagram, it's the best image I have of that aluminum spacer.

The aluminum bracket for the 63 4 cyl w/AC is not the same as 64 GTO w/AC. You want bracket 548413 as is in the picture. This is used with the 771 front adjuster plate and the 770 to the head mounting bracket. I have an extra if you are needing one. PM if so.

Bob comes though again. There you go!

Interesting part no. 548413, I can't find it anywhere in my '66 parts manual. But 548411 and 548412 are 63 T/4-T/8 Front and Rear Plates.

Bob, I'm assuming you got the part number from the casting, or is there a listing in a different year parts book?

Just to close this out, with Bob's aluminum spacer, a front plate I found mislabled as '66 big car on eBay, a repop rear bracket, and the correct cast mount from Frank's Pontiac Parts all problems solved. I've got clearance around the upper rad hose, the upper arm from the intake fits without a spacer, and belt alignment is good. Only issue I've still got is around the dipstick, but I can live with that. Thanks everyone for the help.

Regarding the A.C. Compressor Rear Brace...

Many thanks to Bob Vidan for helping to clarify the applications for this Brace (and for providing one of the elusive 'Tri-Power styles!).

If someone is reproducing the standard version, one would think it wouldn't be any more expensive to do the Tri-Power version. Laser cut blank w/2 form-bends?

As you can see, it's not very easy to discern the dimensional difference between the 2 Brackets...

I was referring to the lower rear mount bracket, which PY sellls under RPE689, 63-70 AC Rear Compressor Bracket, triangular shaped.
