Byron is a fun track and hooks well - race right toward the nuclear plant...

If someone can cover my gas I'm there... lol

I'll footbrake it for ya Rick

Byron is my fav track.. wish I could make it. Maybe as a spec.. may have to stay home and save my pennies so I can run the $4000 footbrake race at I-57 the 24th

My motor is already apart and the new block is already there, and all the parts are already ordered.

Hurry up, you have a lot of catching up to do!

Someone else asked above, but I'm curious as well on what kind of ET range to expect in the quick 16 at this race?

Lol! If you wanna go and just hang out your welcome to ride up with us and spend the night in the motorhome. I'm pretty sure I will be going and maybe I can get my brother to go with Dad's '74.

the front pump had spun the stator shaft and was blocking the feed hole. the timing was off due to 2 bad timing lights and me depending on the advance to work and both of them had failed!

If I remember correctly, the Olds guys out numbered the Pontiac group last year at both BOP events, Byron and Cordova. This just shouldn't be, it would be great to make a strong showing with the Pontiac crowd.

Spread the word and lets get as many racers out as we can.

The Q16 at Cordova last year had a bump in the high 9s low 10s I believe. I was qualified in the top 10 with a 9.3something. From what I remember it seemed like most of the fast cars were Pontiacs or at least Pontiac bodied cars.

Sure hope the tranny is fixed, don't want to do that again, but we should be getting faster at it. And if i can find some more gas money, we might make it. Damn SS checks don't go very far.
Got any new ET slips worth mentioning?
It would be a shame to be the fastest car at this event.

5.800 picked up 3mph over last year with the 4.10s with the work that don at dci has done! more left in it! we are going to have the converter restalled before the bop race. that should pick it up even more. also need to turn the shift point up. this thing wants more rpm now!
