Yup. And not a single company that touts these light bulbs will tell you a thing about it. To me either they don't get it or flat out don't want to talk about it. Back in the early 2000's when they first started getting big, the reactive power was something like 30% of the rated power, so an equivalent of a 60W bulb was really a 80W bulb, they just didn't charge you for the reactive portion. But one day, if enough people are clogging the lines with enough poor PF units, you know the power companies will find a way to charge people for it like they do with commercial\industrial spaces...

60-watters same price. Just got back from Home Depot. Bought 32 60-watt bulbs for $ 6.45 with tax. Can't beat that.

Glad that he repeal has been 'postponed'...still, I am glad that I stocked up on these.

HIS, agreed, and the countdown to November, 2012 is underway.
