The 72 is an Esprit so it should have a deluxe interior in it.

Just found out the Verdero Green 69 Bird pictured is in fact a 400 Firebird. Do you guys think it would be a desirable project for someone? or go ahead and part it out?

IMHO I think a true 400 is always worth saving. Just a matter of desire, time, and $$.

I've got to get back over there and look at these cars.

Just not enough hours in the days!

And enough other projects going on as well.

I live only 15 minutes from there.

I agree. I think an original 400 car would be desirable to someone. As long as there is something to start with I like to see old cars saved rather than parted out.

Yes Paul was parting it out but once he discovered it was a 400 car he figured he would give someone a shot at it.

Hopefully someone will save the car. He already got 4 calls since the ad went up.

Looks like it's been pretty much parted out as it sits.

No, my understanding is that he took it all apart to part it out, then had second thoughts after finding out it was a true 400 coupe.

He's selling the entire project (for more than the $600 obviously).

Would be a good project, but too many of my own going on right now...

Craigslist ad is accurate. Firebird 400 Shell with tags for $600.
There are a few parties interested in everything that came off the car, which a guy would do anyway if restoring. They make everything reproduction for these cars now.

So, your not selling the car complete then, as it's available in parts?

Sounds like it's going to get saved and not scrapped - congrats to you & your friend John.

The CL ad has been updated. If your interested in the car or any parts, you should call Paul directly instead of posting here. Paul is not a PY member - yet.

The car is available two ways:

1. Bare shell with tags $600
2. Everything that came with the car already disassembled. You will need to call for that price however.

Not sure. I have not been out there for awhile. Couple others have. The number for French Lake auto was posted earlier in this thread. Give them a call.
