Thanks read the thread, and then went to the Restoration Guide and it states that the GTO name plate on non-air-condition models was discontinued mid Feb 1969. It refers to a Dealer Service Information Bulletin 69-1-49, dated 2-24-69. It also states that it was brought back in 1970, but this time a black Pontiac nameplate covered the center air-conditioning duct opening.

Novelli's 70 Sierra Yellow Judge was a RAIV to boot! I saw it at a convention in the 80's (I believe) and it was stunning. Funny, I saw John for the first time in years at the POCI convention this year and asked him about that Judge. It is looong gone.

he got married, sold all his stuff and is back into cars pretty heavy now, i dont think ive seen him since 99 or so...

Should not the oil pan drain bolt be at rear? When did that change?

Same car on eBay by Cali seller in Feb went for 37,750.

Its disclosed by photo, that at one point - someone tried to make the 70 YZ into a VIN #'s matching 69 YZ.
