One of the latest methods of cooking meth is called "shake and bake". They use an empty Gatorade bottle, pseudoephidrine (Sudafed), antifreeze, camping fuel, and the alkaline strip our of a battery. Put it in the bottle, shake, pour off the liquid, and the solids left behind are meth. States have limited the purchase of pseudoephidrine in an effort to stop the manufacture. Ohio has a computer system that prevents individuals from purchasing their limit from several stores (Rite Aid, WalMart, Publix, Walgreens, etc.) One of the latest trends is for these people to work together to amass bulk purchases: 1 gets a box of Sudafed and camping fuel, another gets a box of Sudafed and batteries, etc.
