Just curious are you able to put mufflers on fender mount headers? If not is this going disqualify you from running In street class?

Yes they make small mufflers that fit right before the pipe exits the fender.

I need to run a muffler in the class I run.

Jack your car is too nice to put holes in the fenders. You have a psuedo street car look. If you do the Fender exits it becomes a pro mod. It would look cool.but mess with your mojo

I don't see why it's harder to run headers under the car, you know chevelles are A-Body cars right? Point being many Chevy heads have your style exhaust exit, so what's the problem exactly?

Ballers and plumbers roll with carbon fenders... Just sayin'. When are you going to buy the most important part to that car, a driver.... .

Under car headers are a lot quieter, but it's harder to see the flame.

After bolting the heads to the block it looks harder to put the headers under the car.

Fender exit headers hands down.

Eric
Its beneficial to have a long straight run off the heads before making the exhaust transition into a turn.

They dont have to exit out the side of the fender... could exit behind the tire with a slight angle outward. (Mopar A bodies come to mind. Friends 440 dart lost power going from 2" fender well exit Hookers to custom 2" under car. The under car worked out better for street use, except for plug changes)

Put a quick turn off your head you might as well keep a Pontiac "droop snoot" ex port.

Here is why I went to fender exit --- Trans blew a seal out -- spraying oil all under car -- engine flaired up and hit rev limiter sending fire out the pipes that were under the car -- oil and fire ------ car caught fire. First modification that Winter -- pipes out fender. And it is cooler for the trans and less noise

can a a-body with traditional style heads (tigers) get across the frame rails and out behind the tire? what about running them forward and out the front of the fender?

They were down by 28 at the half if I remember right. Might just be the largest come from behind win in playoff history. What a game. I hated to see anyone loose but GO COLTS!
