[Darth Menace]

Hey guys, I haven't been able to work on my car recently due to work/family, but a few days ago I replaced a 5 foot piece of brake-line that looked old and worn. It was the part that plugs into the rear rubber hose (which then hooks up to where the brake line splits and goes to either side of the rear). That thing was super hard to get properly threaded due to it being so tight, but eventually it worked out fine.

I then go and bleed the brakes. My wife helped me and the brake pedal was nice and firm after the brake bleeding. The brake light was on, so I gave the brake pedal a few good hoofs and eventually the brake light went out. I then went to slowly back it out of my garage so I could clean it, and right when I hit the brakes, the brake light goes on and there are no brakes. Fortunately I was going slow and the e-brake did the job, but obviously this is far from acceptably. I had my wife press the brakes while I double-checked all the ends of the brake lines and bleeder valves, but there were no leaks at all.

Can anyone explain what in the world is going on as this is extremely dangerous.
