Thanks much guys. Steve, you are right about mine originally being a points car. It was a 12C build in 1973. If the switch to HEI began in May of 74, mine missed it. Thanks all for the links and photos - very helpful.

BJ

Happy to report that the clock-to-tach conversion has been successfully completed! Thanks for the help everyone. Here are a couple photos. I'll get some better ones in the daylight to do a before and after. Back at home now sipping on some Maker's Mark and nursing all the sore muscles. This project was definitely a young man's game - laying contorted on the floor board craning to see (and focus my progressive lenses) on wiring and small nuts, etc, is not for the faint of heart or 62 year-old men! Now I can appreciate Judge273's "MAB" acronym - or My Aching Back...and shoulder, and knees, and neck...

Finished! Clock works too!

Cold Start Idle. All instrument lights now work - dash looks great at night now.

Fuse panel

Thanks again for the help!
BJ

Good job! Will be doing exact change on my GA&CL 1972 soon. Did my old 72 and it worked, so hopeful
