So I've concluded that my bottom compressor bracket is from a 69. If anyone has a correct 68 bottom bracket I'd be interested.
I'm attatching a pic of the mock up that I had for my brackets. There was a bracket that attatches to the front of the compressor that attatches to the front 2 passenger side intake bolts. Is this correct for a '68? I'm thinking not because I haven't seen a 68 with one of them. Next question, I bought a reproduction dipstick and dipstick tube for A/C from Ames but can't figure out how the top extension attatches. The '69 and '70 tubes are different and I can't find a picture that clearly shows the how the extension attatches or where it attatches.

Does anyone have a picture or diagram of how the upper dipstick tube attatches? The restoration guide/shop manuel have been very little help and Don't have any A/C cars around me that I can reference.

Looks to me like it's captured by the rear compressor bolt on the big bracket we've been talking about. The one that uses the head bolts on a '68 that is..
Look at kk68's pic- You can see the bracket that's spot-welded to the dipstick right below and slightly right of the red arrow and the arrow pointing at where the bolt would be capturing this tube-bracket to the black bracket.. Then look at dataway's post #8 where there may be some variation of the attach point based on how your replacement dipstick tube bracket is situated on the tube. By the way, there are quite a few of those brackets on ebay. Probably could find one cheaper actually- https://www.ebay.com/i/153045182824?ul_noapp=true
