I thought the same thing.

While we're on it, I was thinking Pontiac had fuel injection in '58 but didn't come out with Tri-Power until 1959. I could be wrong about that 'cause I'm a little fuzzy on pre 59 Ponchos. I know Chevy had the Tri-Power big block starting in '58.

they did have fuel injection in 58. had tripower in 57

57 Bonnevilles all had FI standard. 630 of them.

I was with my dad when he stopped at the local Pontiac dealer, probably 1960 or thereabouts . In the service area there was an all black 58 Chieftan convert. It had the FI badging on the front fenders. As I recall, it looked like it had been rode hard and put away wet LOL.
